OKC 48 - 42 GSW.
Still in season, feel like I have forgotten about it this year...
NBA?

Pretty amazing shot by Curry at the end of the half. Hope the Thunder win though.

I have really liked GSW ever since I moved to the east bay. But they win last year and I'd like to see KD and Westbrook win a title in OKC.
Screw Cindy Crosby and the Pens. Not a fan of San Jose either but lesser of 2 evils I guess so sort of Go Sharks but not really. Can no one win?

Man Stephs last shot deserved the and one more than Russ's.

Also go Pens, would love to see Hagelin get a cup.

Who the fuck is Russ??
I don't watch basketball but I'm guessing it's Westbrook.

Russ is short for Russell. Russell Westbrook is a player playing in the aforementioned basketball game.
The end.

Joe.
But Hagelin fans may be interested to know that his 3rd line has become so popular that a Pittsburgh eatery named a sandwich after them.
Ham, Bacon & Kielbasa. And white bread. (Apparently that's the eatery's tradition, not a statement on the line's make-up.) For those in Pittsburgh with a note from your doctor, here's the article.
I assume it's the same place that has the Rothlesburger.
Article says it's been "a sandwich mainstay in Pittsburgh since 1933."
[But maybe not. Research says they're known for their "Italian-bread meat sandwich stuffed with slaw, tomatoes, and fries." Could be at a sports bar that's more known for burgers. Maybe a Pittsburghian knows.]
Michigander in Pittsburgh here.
Primanti's is a local restaurant that for some reason is famous hereabouts. From what I can tell their claim to fame being the first to put fries on their sandwiches. Or so they claim.
Thoroughly average food, IMO. Certainly not worth the hype... though maybe try the HBK for you all and report back.
The photo itself requires a double dose of Lipitor.
"Thoroughly average food, IMO."
It really depends an awful lot on what you get and if your menu selection on your first visit is the right match. If it is then it's pretty much one of the greatest food experiences ever. If it's not then the review ends up as "thoroughly average food".
I understand that everyone's tastes differ. I've been to Primanti's probably a dozen times in the six years or so that I've lived in Pittsburgh and the only meal I've had there where I was like "Wow, that was good!" was the one I had today. I went to try the HBK Sandwich mentioned above and it was very tasty.
The other times I've had their sandwiches and their pizza but none of them were any better than average and some were sub-standard.
I suppose it's always possible that it's just the particular restaurant that's bad and not the food... but I've talked to quite a few native Pittsburghers who are just as underwhelmed as I am.
I'm a Michigan fan in Pittsburgh and for the life of me, I can't understand how Primanti's Bros became the food of Pittsburgh. It's some meat, fries and coleslaw inside of two crappy white pieces of bread. They are often popular after a night of drinking and the combo of bread, fries and grease helps to sober you up. Apparently they opened two in Michigan http://www.mlive.com/business/detroit/index.ssf/2016/04/popular_pittsburgh_eatery_prim.html
This:
"They are often popular after a night of drinking and the combo of bread, fries and grease helps to sober you up."
Answers this:
"I'm a Michigan fan in Pittsburgh and for the life of me, I can't understand how Primanti's Bros became the food of Pittsburgh."
Agreed. There is a reason that one of the city's unofficial mottos is "Pittsburgh: a drinking town with a football problem".
"I assume it's the same place that has the Rothlesburger."
Different place.
the sandwich, not the line
I hate all three of the potential NBA champions.
Cavs just speaks for itself (sorry mgrowold), you have the dick-kicker on Golden State and the OKC Thunder should be Seattle Sonics.
I agree. The primary reason that I couldn't stand Kobe is because he should have been a Minneapolis Laker.

I just pissed myself.

Now that's funny.
If you actually research WHY.....you'll understand.
Sonicsgate. Great documentary. Show how full of shit these owners really are.

On ESPN Classic. Anyways worse owner is Art for being a sellout moving the team out of Cleveland for BAL and not showing his face in Cleveland after the move shows he was a devout coward.
I haven't been compelled to *understand* the situation further. I was there, alive, conscious, aware, from 06-08 when Seattle fans were screwed by Clay Bennett, who reneged on an agreement that was made in good faith.
Seattle fans are still justifiably salty, the "Thunder" is still a weak-sauce and WNBA caliber nickname, and a storied team vanished in thin air out of greed.
That's still a silly reason to dislike the second best offense in the NBA/a humble, recent MVP/the most physically explosive PG in the league/a system that still utilizes big men in a throwback manner, oftentimes running a two center system/Mitch McGary's squad.
and you said you HATE them.
I hate the Pens, but it'd be cool to see Hagelin get a cup. Plus I hate the Sharks, too.
I personally would love to see GSW win it all, because Cleveland losing to them again when they have Love/Irving would shut them up.
Still haven't gotten over the Penguins beating us in '09. That said, go sharks.
to the pens credit, we beat ourselves that year. we had em and blew it. that said, fuck the pens, or just Pittsburgh in general.
Would be happy to see a new team win the Cup, so go Sharks.
OKC may have some of the worst offensive "sets" I've seen. I really do wonder if Westbrook and Durant even have a plan out there sometimes.
I can't stand Billy Donovan so I hope he's having flashbacks of Florida v. Michigan in the Tournament as GS rains all these threes.

Pens win.

4 point GSW lead. 8:30 to go.
This could be one hell of a finish.
Nah. Warriors will win. It is very predictable.

Bigger market, better story. NBA is tanking and needs GS in the finals to boost ratings.
I'm always curious when people think the NBA rigs the playoffs. Is each game scripted? To what degree? Every play? Just the last couple of minutes? Or does the NBA give the directive that a key call will go in a team's favor? Or is it more that the officials will just slightly and subtly favor one team over another?
