Peppers at 10, which seems low.
OT: "Tall Blonde Girl" Music Video
That gif will never not get a like from me.
Lloyd Brady is my hero!!!!!!!!!
It's all about brunette girls.
(Now I'm really thinking that Walking Dead thread I was contemplating last night wasn't too off topic....)
The Walking Dead is never OT! Illinois and Purdue are zombies, right?
Is that Pat from Pregaming with Pat
Nope different Pat. He's also not the same Pat from I love you Denard.
While not all are my bag of humor, all your videos are extremely well made and I can definitely get the why so many people love 'em. That being said, c'mon man. This just way too OT for MSU week.
I really enjoy watching his videos and I know a lot of other people do too. Stop trying to be the post nazi.
Then follow Pat on twitter. He posts all of his stuff there.
There's a lot of stuff on the internet I like, and most of it doesn't need to be posted here.
Well considering most of his videos are Michigan related, he incorporated our own Ace into one of his videos, and he obviously has an mgoblog account, I'd say it is board worthy.
Some of them are Michigan related, but this is not. This stuff is fine for the off-season, but not now. That's why there is a "no OT" policy during the season.
Like I said, there's nothing wrong with it, but if you like it, you know where to find it. This is why people like twitter, so they can be on top of the stuff they like. But this is not the place for it.
Look dude, it's MSU week, I would've kept my damn mouth shut if it happened any other week. I get people like him and appreciate the work he does and the talent he has. But this video has nothing to do with Michigan sports except the city it's filmed in and that many/most of the people in it are U of M students or alums. If you and everyone else like him so much and want to be on top of everything that he releases as soon as it drops, why don't you follow him on Facebook then.
There is a post about a guy sticking his head in urine. What the hell does that have to do with MSU week?
Did you have your heart broken by a tall blonde? I'm sorry buddy, but life goes on.
Never said I agreed with that post, but it features a guy in an OSU jersey and was posted with the intent of making fun of the Buckeyes, which pathetically enough makes ten fold more on topic than this video.
And no. My tastes fall more in line with Brendan Gibbons and went and married a brunnette. And a short (5'3'') one at that.
Are you Pat's roommate? I don't think you've made enough posts on this topic yet.
How come none of them are ever in the pregaming videos? Did you have to rent them?
lol... Very nice.
It's no I love you Denard, but then again it's also not Call Me Maybe. I'd listen to it on the radio.
1 thumb up.
I'm 6'4...what about my blonde 5'4 girlfriend?!
Anyone know of any MSU Michigan 2012 hype videos that are out there? I just took a look on youtube and don't see any yet. Someone needs to make one!
Sorry, but I like to give honest feedback.
Took me 5 minutes just to scroll 1/2 way down the video embed. Elaydin (sp?) are there any plans for an update to fix the problem with ios6?
This is stupid. I like tall blonde girls too but don't feel the need to tell a bunch of dudes on a football blog about it with a music video. The number of hot tall blonde MGoBloggers is probably <1% so you really aren't hitting your target demo BRAH.
So go on twitter and find it! I like Zoltan as much as the next guy, but if he talks about a burger joint he really likes or a movie he just saw, we don't need a thread about it on MGoBlog.
I'm not saying it's a huge deal. And this being a sports blog, I think soccer and baseball are much closer to what the blog is here for than music videos. If every M alum made a post about what they were doing with their life, the place would be filled with junk.
"This has more to do with UM then some of the soccer,baseball..."
Good God, man. This sentence single-handedly sunk whatever argument you were making. First of all, it's than*.Second, this might be the most idiotic thing I've ever read on this board coming from someone who isn't an obvious troll. Are you saying that a music video about liking blondes is more relevant on a MICHIGAN SPORTS blog than* MICHIGAN SOCCER and BASEBALL? I capitalized the important bits in case you still couldn't connect the dots.
And I'll say the first time I read it I had the same take as you. But I think he meant that the MLB playoff threads and all the international soccer game threads are as OT as this. I'm not sure that's the case, but I've giving him the benefit of the doubt on THAT aspect.
Michigan Athletics, hot or not. err, except the Mgoblog Mascot Kate Upton.
The signal to noise ratio around here is getting turrible... Now, I contribute my fair share of noise 'round here, but it's only comments here and there. If everyone posts every random, semi-Michigan related article he/she finds, then this fine place will go to shit.
We don't want that, do we?
+1 (fake point) THANK YOU
or is it bra - anyway it is all good fun - LAUGHING IS GOOD! don't be so serious
(though not blond) and this video still made me roll my eyes. Even for an amateur video, some of the acting was really awkward and poorly delivered.
Love your stuff, Pat, but this one's a thumbs down.
Tall blonde girls is finally getting some love. Lord knows they never get any attention.
Pat, I love your stuff, but needs MOAR autotune!
I saw you guys filming at Shady. Good stuff
This song is the story of my life.
you're missing a sense of humor
Nope. It's not funny. I think Pat received a LOT of nurturing, positive, flattering messages about his talent as a wee lad.
Which is better than my feeling unworthy and inadequate my whole childhood, but on the bright side, it led to a lot fewer self-produced internet videos. So, silver linings and all that.
It's going to take a lot more than a "tall blonde girl" for one of his kids to become an athlete. I would suggest creeping at the next Olympic dorms, or becoming a WNBA groupie. And hope the kid gets all of mom's genes.
My Dad was drafted in the NFL, both my brother & I played Division 1 lacrosse, and my sister plays Division 1 field hockey.
As evidenced by the video and this comment, you have really got to get over yourself. At least a little. This seeming more and more like something out of East Lansing or Columbus than an Ann Arbor product.
So people can insult him, but he can't offer a counterpoint without being full of himself? That just doesn't make sense. I get that "public figures" and people who put themselves out there have to be ready for criticism, but M-Wolverine basically insulted Pat Stansik and all Stansik did was say "Actually, my family and I do have a history of athletic success, and here's a list"...but Stansik's the one who has to get over himself?
People insult each other, and people defend themselves. It's a natural back and forth discussion. Let it go.
What? Your self-contraduction is making my head hurt. He made a counterpoint to a cricicism, and I criticized his counterpoint. Which you criticized stating that I should not have criticized. YOu contradict your own criticism. Think a little bit please. If its so natural to let it go back and forth, why are you telling me to stop my own criticism? You are as contradictory as you always have been.
My point was that he is coming off more douchy than one likes his own fanbase to come off. Yes, one who has a pedigree comes off as douchy when he feels the need to front it when he is called out for being pompous - to post a video of yourself with your shirt off, talking about how you have to turn town certain women and need a tall blond so you can produce athlete kids, and then offering a family pedigree of athletes when criticized for being pompous, only comes off as douchy. (Which, on a side note, flies in the face of his 'I love you Denard' video, because Denard, who he loves for his athleticism, is not tall). That was my criticism. And then, of course, in your mindless fashion, you criticize me for criticizing.
I think you (and a few other readers) are taking his video a little more seriously than you should...and more seriously than Stansik is himself. I did not get the feeling that he was really trying to flaunt his shirtless body or that he feels like he has to beat away short non-blond girls with a stick.
It's a comedy video, and he's a performer. Performers generally want to be, like, noticed for their performances.
Do you dislike Andy Samberg, too, and think he's full of himself? After all, he genuinely thinks his "Dick in a Box" is a great gift for any woman, right? I mean, he made a video of himself singing about that, so it's clearly a representation of his true self.
It's OT season. It's MSU-Michigan week, and not only do we have to compete with the Tigers for focus and attention and coverage, but now this-which has little to do with Michigan sports-keeps getting bumped.
Pat thinks he's funny. His friends clearly have fun making these videos. But right now, this shouldn't be getting much more pub on this board.
Feel free to post these same thoughts on the posts about the Tigers, Honey Badger, crazy names in college football, the NHL lockout...
Actually, I think Andy Samberg does genuinely think that. Other than that, I totally agree with you.
EDIT - was supposed to be in response to Magnus other post, FAIL
Because long explanation just getting too off topic and personal.
Let's just leave it at the whole process of posting it here, now, is ego driven.
So you're saying you want that athletic girl to make up for the genes skipping you.
No, I'm saying that I want "that athletic girl" because that is my type.
But don't the lyrics say "because it'd be nice if my kids could play sports"? (paraphrasing)
No objecting to liking tall blonde girls, or whatever the case may be. Just pointing out that if it's because you want your kids to be athletic, instead of say, smart, or something, it's going to come off as shallow. And pointing out if that's the case, you might want to look elsewhere, because the majority of female athletes aren't tall blonde girls. So it's silly, but not in a funny way, so it doesn't really work in either sense.
It's a comedy bit. Who cares if it comes across as "shallow"? You're acting as if comedies are supposed to have some deep, moral message...
I received a lot of nurturing, positive, flattering messages about my athletic talent when I was a wee lad, considering that was all I did for 20 years and I didn't start making videos until my junior year of college. My parents were actually really upset with me when I decided to transfer to Michigan to study film because they wanted me to stay at my old school and keep playing lacrosse.
I understand that all of my videos don't appeal to everyone, and hopefully there's at least one out there that you like. If not, I'll keep trying.
Since, I married a tall blonde girl with long blond hair, and am father to the same. Nothing like tall blonde girls, imhe.
Keep both of them away from Pat. He's apparently in heat.
who made that video....it sucked.
Impressed by the production value but beyond that nothing to write home about.
it needs some nudity, other than that i liked it.
has a really nice voice.
He very well might, but I think there was some Auto-Tune involved...
Patty Stans, I love your work. I can't tell you how many times I've listened to I Love You Denard & I'm 24. Thanks for sharing & creating & keep up the good work.
The Indian fellow at :32 is my little bro's roommate. My brother was supposed to be in it too but I guess his footage got cut
I'm not sure what is worse, that video (e.g., the aweful derivitive rapping, the egotistic 'I'm taller and better than you are' underlying theme, the weird, out of place cuts to some professor) or the fact that almost every thread on this board seems to devolve into a self-generating and self-seving discussion of whether the thread is worthy of being an almighty MGoBlog thread. It's those mindless and endless discussions that make a thread cross the tipping piont from marginally worthy to absolutely not worthy.
Well, hey, I'm in this video.
Well, I guess we found the one tall blond girl who reads MGoBlog.
I think anyone who created the I Love You Denard® video should automatically get one "get out of MGoBlog jail free card".
I'd say this video is a misdemeanor as worst.
I'm somewhat indifferent to the videos themselves, but I do have to say that they make me miss Ann Arbor.
I thought that's what I said?
Which Pat Stansik production mentioned/featured Ace Anbender? I don't remember seeing that one...
I thought he was in the I love you Denard one? Maybe I'm wrong though
