"Set your VHS." I thought that was funnier than I should have.
I also laughed. Well done, OP.
Sharknado is becoming my new favorite summer tradition.
is in this one......
You had me at Jared.
I was actually thinking more about recording it on Betamax using the TV / VCR combo that Sony Electronics put out about 35 years ago. It has a 12-inch Trinitron screen and everything.
On a more serious note, it is premieres like these that make me yearn for the days of Mystery Science Theater 3000 again, as I like to think that they would be all over this film.

Have you ever checked out one of the RiffTrax events? They do "live" riffing and select movie theaters carry the feed -- I believe that the 1998 "Godzilla" film is next on their list. It's not the entire MST3K cast, but some of them. I believe the others (including Joel and Dr. Forrester) split off into a side project called "Cinematic Titanic" or something.
But anyway, RiffTrax is awesome, especially in the theater. I saw them do the original 'Night of the Living Dead" last October, and it was fantastic.
I gotta think that "Sharknado" and its sequel is on the short list for these guys...
Edit: Welp...I missed it! http://www.fathomevents.com/event/rifftrax-live-sharknado
As tempting as it is to see Benjy Bronk killed.. I don't think I can sit through it.
Is Tara Reid in this one? I remember Mr McAllister getting killed in the previous movie, sad day. KEVIN!
LOL...Robert Hayes was flying the plane. This is already great.
I'll give credit where credit is due -- the chicken v. fish discussion was a nice touch. "Always have the chicken on a plane."
Still can't believe Richard Kind hit a bomb in Citi field, didn't think he had that kind of power.
is now on for a second helping.
Thanks, JT4104---I thought that might be Robert Hayes, but wasn't sure---too bad they didn't resurrect some of the other stars of Airplane! for this.
The weather segments by Al Roker and Stephanie Abrams (of The Today Show and Weather Channel) certainly enhance their credibility as meteorologists.
The sister and brother-in-laws' names are Martin and Ellen Brody.
Kurt Angle, Biz Markie, Viviaca Fox looking old as funk, Acting straight out of the Nas/DMX from Belly level of bad. This movie was classic.
