January 22nd, 2012 at 5:47 PM ^
They give it right back.
January 22nd, 2012 at 5:48 PM ^
Jeez Brady....you have the lead and your short passing game is killing them. Yet you force one for no reason...dammit Brady you're better than that.
January 22nd, 2012 at 5:49 PM ^
horrible decision
January 22nd, 2012 at 5:53 PM ^
luckily Cam Cameron is calling odd plays to keep the NE D in it....3rd and 3 throw it to your TE....
January 22nd, 2012 at 5:53 PM ^
Wilfork does his best Ondre Pipkins impression.
January 22nd, 2012 at 5:56 PM ^
Wilfork is turning back the clock today.....hell of a last 2 plays for him.
January 22nd, 2012 at 5:57 PM ^
why not kick the FG? 51 Yarder to Tie...
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:00 PM ^
Green-Ellis....I know you want to kill a little clock, but you have to at least attempt to move forward. That twinkle toes crap just made this upcoming 3rd down a little harder than it needed to be.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:05 PM ^
Edelman on Boldin? Really??
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:07 PM ^
1. Brady's two picks were bad throws...but also incredible catches. Most times those passes simply gets knocked down. Great plays by the Ravens secondary.
2. Why did the Patriots run the ball on 2nd and 3 right before the two minute warning? Isn't that the time to pass? Your strength is passing the football and a first down puts the pressure on Baltimore to use their timeouts if you get the first down. Plus, because there is the clock stoppage, there is no downside to an incompletion.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:10 PM ^
Wow. What a game.

Wow Cundiff just shit himself when it counted......that is a chip shot for a NFL kicker.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:10 PM ^
He should have thought about brunette girls.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:14 PM ^
Of maybe the year.

January 22nd, 2012 at 6:15 PM ^
Against the Giants.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:12 PM ^
Cundiff is no Brandon Gibbons.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:12 PM ^
One more chance for the next ring.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:19 PM ^
Congrats to the Pats, but they'll have a hard time going the distance if they allow 50%+ on 3rd down conversions again.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:14 PM ^
A rematch of the Giants Pats SB would be fun to see also... either matchup will be a good one
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:14 PM ^
Must not have been thinking about Brunette Girls.
Brady was fortunate to get to this first Super Bowl (Tuck-rule) and he is fortunate that this one didn't go to overtime. I hardly think he cares though. Hoping for a Michigan QB battle two weekends from now!
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:17 PM ^
That the Colts somehow made a comeback on his defense and he didn't get to murder the Bears; and that The Giants can make catches off their helmets. So it all ends up equally out.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:21 PM ^
People will be PISSED at work tomorrow...except for my colleague who is a Steelers fan.
Zoltan shanked his last punt a little...
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:23 PM ^
Does ring number four finally shut up the Peyton Manning lovers forever?
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:30 PM ^
it puts him above Manning for their careers, assuming Manning doesn't do anything crazy if he comes back. I think he's already there as is, but this would cement it. But he needs to have a good game where he is a legitimate candidate for MVP of the game. One of those 25-33, 300+ yds, 3+ TD type games.
4 Super Bowls, 3 Super Bowl MVPs, 2 Regular season MVPs...would put him right up there with Montana.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:32 PM ^
No. Signed a Peyton Manning lover.
But really yes.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:55 PM ^
Peyton might not even be the most successful quarterback in HIS FAMILY.
January 22nd, 2012 at 7:40 PM ^
Colts supporting cast does not equal the Giants supporting cast.
January 22nd, 2012 at 8:01 PM ^
This has always been the case for the Colts on defense. The one year the Colts won they finally had a formidable defense, and that defense only came together for the post season run. I've also always contended that the Colts with Manning have won more so in spite of the coaching staff not because of it.
January 22nd, 2012 at 9:05 PM ^
The Colts have had more offensive talent in a given season than the Giants have had Eli's whole career.
January 22nd, 2012 at 11:23 PM ^
I'll agree with this for the most part (the talent around Eli right now is not too shabby). It's that old cliche "defense wins championships."
Or I'm just bitter that the Colts have only gotten one ring with Manning.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:23 PM ^
Well that keeps the next coach of PSU away from the team until after National Signing Day.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:32 PM ^
The decision to hire what's-his-name is still mind-boggling to me. The people running PSU are idiots. They're going to go through some tough times.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:35 PM ^
He met the top two requirements: Cheap and easy to fire in 4 or 5 years when scandal/sanctions are all wrapped up. Anyone who was a good HC was busy gunning for A&M, UCLA, Illinois, Ohio State, or one of the other BCS programs that was hiring.
January 22nd, 2012 at 7:05 PM ^
Who is running the ship while the captain is on vacation? Their recruiting class is going to be full of 2 star kids. Too bad. All because of some dumb ass predator.
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:28 PM ^
Looks like the Ravens turned out to be more of an "Everybody murders" kind of place than "Family values" for Mr. Plow. More importantly, Michigan is guaranteed yet another Super Bowl ring thanks to Harbaugh and Goodwin (Niners) and Baas and Manningham (Giants) along with Brady and Space Emperor of Space. Michigan puts the Blue in Super Bowl!
January 22nd, 2012 at 6:59 PM ^
Stolen from Cleveland?

More seriously, I'm glad they didn't win the Super Bowl the year AFTER Mattison leaves.

And Ira will be a little less insufferable tomorrow morning on WTKA.
January 22nd, 2012 at 7:02 PM ^
The Ravens might have lost but they were gashing the Pats defense with the run. Brady looked good and I hope their TE is OK. But I am worried about the defense. They can't stop the run. They will play a team, either SF or NY with a better QB and run game. Still I hope NE wins it all.
