Cristobal already has his bags packed for Miami...Utah vs. OSU in the Rose Bowl?
December 3rd, 2021 at 10:09 PM ^
Thought the same thing. Playing like they have a coach they know is on the way out.
December 3rd, 2021 at 10:56 PM ^
Who would Urbz cheer for in that scenario?
He coached both those schools. Maybe he and Cayman Nebraska will be grand marshalls of the Rose parade.
December 3rd, 2021 at 11:09 PM ^
Bowling Green.
December 3rd, 2021 at 11:12 PM ^
Anyone think Urbs is headed to ND? A normal human being wouldn’t, but . . .

Quit Drinking And Go To Bed.

I didn’t invent this rumor, I’m just reporting it. And to say it’s impossible? Hubris . . .
December 3rd, 2021 at 11:22 PM ^
Notre Dame named their new head coach 15 hours ago.
December 3rd, 2021 at 11:24 PM ^
Anyone name brand? Myself, I still consider Kelly to be a monster (the kid falling), so it’s got to be an improvement.
December 4th, 2021 at 7:08 AM ^
Their DC, Marcus Freeman.
December 3rd, 2021 at 8:59 PM ^
I don't know how Oregon beat OSU. They look bad. They looked bad last time they played UTAH. Thought they would have figured out.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:20 PM ^
OSU always does that at the beginning of the season every year. You can just about set your arch to it.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:57 PM ^
CJ Verdell ran wild for the Ducks against OSU and then got hurt in game 5 and missed the rest of the season.
December 3rd, 2021 at 10:39 PM ^
They did that without Thibedeaux too
December 3rd, 2021 at 10:48 PM ^
Same reason a 6-6 Virginia Tech team punked OSU the year they won the title. Or that mediocre Iowa or Purdue teams beat up on them.
College football is weird sometimes.
December 3rd, 2021 at 8:59 PM ^
Isn't not wearing a mouth guard a penalty or at least stops play? Several times I've seen mouth guards hanging, including a WR and DB lined up together and both had no mouth guard.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:04 PM ^
I noticed that from OSU DBs and WRs last week.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:11 PM ^
OSU's were probably jarred out by hits...
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:22 PM ^
I don't think so. I took this photo at the last Illinois game. Peep Shea's unique mouth guard placement.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:38 PM ^
Interestingly, an Iowa forum discussed this recently, because the Iowa middle linebacker told a few reporters that he planned to play without one in an upcoming game:

I have no clue how this Oregon team beat OSU...but at least now I don't have to ask why we can't do the same
Might go rewatch highlights 10 times to wash the hockey game out of my mouth
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:17 PM ^
OSU is soft. Oregon punched them in the mouth and ran for like 270.
December 4th, 2021 at 12:45 AM ^
This. I think we're about to find out that Ryan Day is not the coach we think he is. They are a finesse team, as coach Gattis rightly put it. They don't have the willingness to get dirty and fight, that previous Ohio State teams did.
December 4th, 2021 at 7:06 AM ^
Maybe, maybe not. Although I have no love for the man or that team, he is 33-4 overall and 23 -1 in B1G games playing in the toughest conference. People are re-evaluating him because he is 10-2 and lost to the #12 at the time who after that win valuated into the top 5 and to a top 5 rival while playing on the road.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:08 PM ^
Bad matchup for the Ducks. Who aren't great to start with. Weird that only two teams could take advantage of Ohio State's absolute refusal to set a damn edge, but glad we were one of them obviously.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:09 PM ^
Watching Oregon kicker miss his FGA has me wondering, will Moody stick around for his fifth year, or will Money Moody make money for Moody?
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:14 PM ^
Underrated Defense.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:15 PM ^
Is Whittingham the best former Meyer assistant as a head coach? Seems like it.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:21 PM ^
He is not really a Meyer assistant, Meyer just kept him on as DC when he took the Utah job.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:28 PM ^
Good point … maybe that’s why he’s worked out better.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:16 PM ^
Utes got lucky with that fumble.
Yes, my friends call me Captain Obvious.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:17 PM ^
This Utah squad is gonna give Ohio hell in the Rose Bowl.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:22 PM ^
Good.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:19 PM ^
Too many turnovers. I hope we don’t do the same thing tomorrow. Utah keeping Oregon in this.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:23 PM ^
First things first for me.
My apologies to 'Blue@ LSU', he had a similar thread up early and wanted it deleted because it was quickly sliding down the MGoBoard and likely would have slid to page two by kickoff.
I posted some snark while watching the Michigan hockey game, initially failing to go delete it right away. Minutes later I saw the thread was still on the board and hit my twitter-based "unpublish" button then didn't go back immediately to MGoBlog to make sure it had disappeared.
I again had to go back and this time watched as... nothing happened.
By the time I finally completed the task (also deleting a duplicate Ewers/portal thread when my page unfroze) it was almost time for the PAC12 kickoff.
All in all, still on me for not initially competing the task promptly.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:30 PM ^
This Oregon QB... No bueno.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:38 PM ^
Utah dominating the ducks once again. I thought this game would be close. but it really hasn't been. Why did the original game thread get nuked?
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:39 PM ^
Look two posts above yours.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:54 PM ^
Hahaaaaa!!! Thanks for helping me out lol I wear glasses and apparently I am STILL blind.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:38 PM ^
Oregon has 65 yards of total offense and 19 came on a single play. It's insane how bad they've looked two times now.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:43 PM ^
Wow, Herbie is really banging on Utah and what they "get away" with. Making the loss to Oregon a bit more embarrassing for OSU, is it Herbs?
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:43 PM ^
Welp, Utah is way better than Oregon, double confirmed.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:44 PM ^
Michigan beats Iowa and OSU will have to play Michigan Lite in the Rose Bowl.
Utah is physical, doesn't give up big plays, and will make OSU defend the run.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:44 PM ^
Looks like the Duck's Goose is cooked.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:46 PM ^
Honestly if Utah had gone with Rising to start the year they might have found themselves in the playoff convo.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:50 PM ^
Hypothetically , if we play Utah , we would need to play JJ on a good number of snaps to open up our offense against that defense.
December 3rd, 2021 at 10:52 PM ^
Still banging the JJ drum I see!
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:46 PM ^
OMG that is laughably stupid. Ball game.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:48 PM ^
I don't know what he was seeing. That defender was literally standing in front of the receiver.
December 3rd, 2021 at 9:48 PM ^
The Pac 12 is like the Wild West (literally) but I have been impressed by Utah during the second half of the season. They’re a tough team.
