Have zero issues with LeBron - he's one of the greatest ever and as a basketball fan I'm lucky to be able to watch him dominate.  Even though he's almost likely going to lost tonight and even if he's not *the* greatest of all time he's still a palpably better human being than Jordan and he brought a championship to Cleveland, which is no mean feat.

That said, should the Cavs fail (which as of this writing, it looks as if they will), I will shed zero tears for their owner Dan Gilbert who is a venal and vile shitbag.  Fuck that choad into perpetuity and may he never experience a single day of happiness ever again.

This is mostly my bitterness as a Laker fan (which, seriously, we have nothing to complain about in the grand scheme of things), but Dan Gilbert was one of the whinest assholes kvetching about the aborted Chris Paul trade and how it'd let the Lakers assemble a superteam for pennies on the dollar - and then gets handed Kyrie and two other #1 picks that lead to a superteam as a reward for being utter shite after LeBron left the first time.  Plus he's an MSU grad, so fuck that guy.

Cavs can't pull off the comeback because a Clevelander cursed the city when he ate horse shit on camera at the victory parade. Cavs, Browns (obviously) and the 2nd most racist team in all of sports won't win anything in his lifetime.

And you can see how hard he's playing. Say what you want about the team switch, but it's not like he's sitting back and having something handed to him.

Adjust the tint on your screen, and he could almost be a Wolverine!

Curry, Thompson, Igoudala, and Green would have lined up in victory formation and had KD spike the ball.

I almost thought they were going to call the travel and make the Cavs inbound it, etc., to run off the last few seconds.

With a couple weeks remaining in the regular season, their net rating was +7.7 (better than the Spurs) with LeBron on the floor and -8.5 (worse than the Lakers) when he was off. There's a reason that, in nine combined season before LeBron came into their lives, Kyrie Irving & Kevin Love appeared in zero playoff games.

While I don't care much for Draymond Green, I'd rather see him win a second title than see Ohio ever win anything again. Only thing that would've been better than this is if Cleveland was swept.

I'm sure the Warriors won't be able to hold onto everyone, but if they can keep that core of Curry, Durant and Green together, they're going to be unstoppable for the next 4-5 years.

If Bogut doesn't get injured this one goes 7 games and the Cavs win. I'm still kinda disappointed at Lebrons play when it mattered. No one can stop him driving to the basket, yet he continues to pass to Korver and others when he should be pounding his opponents in the paint and fouling them out. Jordan he's not. I understand you want to get your team involved but when your team needs scoring, he and Kyrie have to impose their will and do it. They probably need to upgrade the coach too. Even Chuck Daley figured out a way to slow Jordan down. KD scored 32 + every game. The coach needed to adjust but never did.

Adjusting to KD is easier said than done. With Cleveland's personel, and with LeBron playing so many minutes and carrying such a big load offensively, basically the only way to slow down Durant is by doubling, and Steph, Klay, and Draymond make that impossible. I don't think I'm going out on a limb by saying that there's never been an offensive team as unstoppable as these Warriors.

What Cleveland lacked was a low post presence that could stop GSW from crashing the boards. I said Bogut would have made a difference because he's a legit 7 ft. strong, can rebound, block shots and has an offensive post game. Aside from Tyrone Lue being completely out coached, and LeBron choking again, Bogut could have actually changed the series particularly in the pic and roll with LeBron or Kyrie. I knew KD was going to change this series, just didn't know if Bron could overcome that by going full Jordan in the 4th Quarter. Well obviously not.

that adding a slow, lumbering 7 footer to the lineup was going to make a bit of difference then I am not sure what series you were watching.  He likely would have played less than 10 minutes per game, and would have been a liability when he was out there.

But I will.

Where is the intrigue for next season??

You can all but pencil in Golden State for the finals, and Cleveland is a likely finalist again, maybe they'll be upended by Boston or Washington, but those teams are a year or two away.

This is the problem you run into when you create super teams. 95 percent of the NBA is rendered helpless but to watch.

When a superstar jumps ship and joins another team to get the ring.  But still prefer that than seeing Lebron win again.  Gotta like Curry though.  Warriors!
