Because it's still entertaining, more than a decade later

This, and the MSU osu game, are my two favorite games every year. Just watch from the sidelines while one fan base has a meltdown

They go scoreless through the 2nd OT. 0-0. ND gets the ball first to start OT #3. They score a TD, but MSU intercepts the 2pt try and returns it for 2 points of their own. Now it's 6-2 and MSU has the ball. The ND defense rises up yet again to force 4th down. That clever Mike D'antonio, needing a TD to win, instead eschews that strategy and settles for the field goal. ND wins 6-5. After the game, Mikey D is asked about his decision to settle for the FG. His response, "I thought it better to get the sure points and be defeated with dignity."

I remember a friend texting me during the game last year about how good MSU was looking. it was hard to disagree at time, although in retrospect they were both horrible teams.

Fully expect Spartina to run roughshod over the Irish. In fact, I expect Dantonio to run LJ Scott and Gerald Holmes straight at Daelin Hayes all day long. That kid will not hold up versus the run. Sparty 26 ND 24

viable option. If I were Kelly, I would prep for power running and ST trick plays with the expectation that Lewerke is not a dependable passing threat. I think the most interesting matchup is ND running against MSU. DEs, LBs and CBs are undersized. if ND can regularly set the edge, they will gash MSU and Dantonio will have to bring the safeties into the box or aggressively running the alleys. Not sure Wimbush can make them pay.

I'd like for ND to stroll in, win the game and have Iowa do the same thing the following week. Then we pound the shit out of State after a week off for our offense to get it going.

Enjoying your day off WD?

Glad I a came into the office today.  Lots of drama here. The boss fired one of the employees while I arrived.  There were a couple of suits standing outside of the employees office and I asked what was going on.  They said nevermind just get to work.

Turns out he was packing up all of his stuff, because he was fired and they were helping him escort it to his car.  Have not found out why he was fired yet though.  I do know he had a history of clashing with the boss; maybe he took it too far this time.

I understand it's better for our SOS if MSU wins, but thinking long term, we really want ND to win this game. Brian Kelly is a shitty human and a bad coach. Every loss he obtains pushes him closer to the door. I definitely don't want him to get fired. With that in mind, a win for ND doesn't really help their recruiting, because that sack of crap would still be there. Also, even though we know MSU will play the best game of their season on 10/7, it wouldn't hurt us one bit if they were already emotionally friable at the time we played them.

Michigan does not need a strength of schedule boost at all. They play arguably the toughest in-conference schedule and played the 2x SEC East champs and a 10 win Mountain West team in the OOC. Sparty can lose every game from here on our and it will not matter for SOS perceptions.
