...or Real Miami Housewives.

I hate this reality TV age we live in.

Why can't everyone just rant on sports blog message boards like decent human beings? Is that not a big enough audience anymore?

This TMZ, Twitter, my voice has to be heard by as many people as possible age is disturbing.

She may have had a valid point (I stopped reading), but 99% of the people who read that are saying "STFU."

Anyone, OT or not...I'm glad I can come to MGoBlog for my daily dose of baby mama drama, ESPN.com has been slacking ever since some dude deflated some footballs while he was taking a piss.

She kinda left out the part about getting paid millions of dollars. Nobody is forcing him to play. He could go do something else if it bothers his wife so much. Of course, that might not pay quite so much.

Sometimes I just can't stand social media. Especially when people have nothing better to do than running their mouth for the whole world to see. You can't take back what you post on social media. She would be difficult to live with. Wouldn't even have a chance to win any argument.

Good lord.... there's a variety of words that I could use to describe her, but suffice to say she's rather lacking in class.

I hope they never have children. It would be like growing up on the set of a porn movie.

I think a good bit of her beef with the NFL is legitimate. And she certainly has a right to voice those complaints.

But I then think about the millions of families making $45,000 total annually, and the working man or woman getting fired from their hourly-wage job for refusing to come to work because his/her wife/husband is in the hospital.

Or better yet, the 6 year olds I've seen begging on the streets of developing countries for a few coins so they can eat.

Then I don't feel so bad that her millionaire husband didn't win a new truck for playing a game...

These are more or less the thoughts I had as well. Buried in that tirade were legitimate criticisms of the NFL and its policies towards various things and its lack of policies on a few other things, but I had to pretty much stop taking it too seriously when she started equating the removal of a paid appearance and now the lack of the Pro Bowl MVP award (and associated truck) equates to "shitting" on someone who makes a ton of money as it is.

In addition to your examples, when you live on a street with a lot of auto employees who had to endure the pain of large corporate bankruptcies, layoffs and in some cases, having to move or lose their home (some of these houses remain vacant six years later too), your perspective on what it means to get shit on changes a little as well.

Athletes (and in this case their spouses) will always be at a PR disadvantage.  Owners assuredly know this.  Athletes get paid top 1% money to play a game for owners that are financial gods among men and are very good at protecting that wealth.  Anything that complains of fairness and equity is literally laughable considering the countless existing examples (e.g. the layoffs you recount).

Yet if you earned something and it's seemingly ripped from you unfairly, is it somehow more tolerable because you are at a higher starting point than the average person?  Should you grin and bear it?  I don't sympathize with her plight but I don't disagree with it either.

why she thinks her hubby deserved the MVP more than JJ watt.  A huge downside to big contracts for athletes is the total lack of appreciation for the salaries they make just to play a game that has no significance in the real world other than entertainment.

I'm going to assume her focus was not on the truck for Defensive MVP since her husband could afford a fleet of them.  Nothing wrong with sticking up for her man.

I don't know anything else about her, so I don't know if this is par for the course.  But we can all agree that the Shield is a joke now.

I really felt she had legitimate concerns when talking about Brent potentially having to miss her surgery, but when she went on some tirade about the Pro Bowl, that's where she lost me.

Oh, boo hoo, you mean to tell me your multi-million dollar husband who takes care of you so you don't have to work a day in your life didn't win the Pro Bowl MVP? Have some perspective.

The blessing of social media is also the curse: everyone has a voice. Some voices are just more idiotic than others.

Im an Atlanta Falcons fan (Grimes started his career there). She has been an idiot for as long as anyone has known who she was. When Brent tore his achilles tendon and the Falcons werent sure if they wanted to extend him with a long term deal, she got all over the organization on twitter. Obviously Grimes still had quality football left in him, but there was clear risk involved for the team and one could understand why a team would hesitate to give big money to a short CB coming off an achilles tear. She was too stupid to understand that then and it looks like she hasnt learned anything since.
