President Obama picks Kalamazoo Central High School over thousands of other schools and this kid falls asleep. Nice job buddy.

As a Alumni of KC I am glad that a kid falling asleep was the worse thing that happened. My graduation was horible, everyone's 2nd and 3rd cousins just shouted the whole time and you couldn't hear anyone's names called. Although at yesterday's graduation someone did have a serious heart attack during Obama's speech.
There is a serious disconnect between the first and last sentences of your post.
My favorite part is around 2:20 when the applause starts to wake the kid up, and he begins clapping before his eyes are even open.

As I was watching that last night, I thought that it was kick ass to have the Prez at a high school commencement, whether you think he is a "socialist tool" or not. First U of M, then K-Zoo Central. Michigan rocks!
Knowing the Kalamazoo Public Schools, I am just happy there wasn't a fight. K-Central and Loy Norrix have played football games w/o spectators and had homecomings cancelled because of fights and violence. If sleeping is the worst thing the kid was doing I am relieved.
I live in Kazoo and his convoy of helicoptors went right over my house.....Not sure if he saw me mooning him from the ground or not.....lol....
He already has the study habits down pat... I'm thinking Honor Roll!
I have to confess, I was among the graduates when Obama descended upon Ann Arbor and I definitely nodded off a few times during his speech. Then again, I was there at 7AM for an 11AM ceremony and was going off of two hours of sleep...and in a crowd of several thousand...and not on camera right behind the president.
I graduated in '07 and struggled to pay attention to the Clinton speach. Hangovers and paying attention do not go well together.

As a proud graduate of Kalamazoo Loy Norrix, I found it especially hilarious to see the poor Central kid dose off during the President's speech. Bad luck sitting right over his shoulder in the camera shot when all you want to do is nap! Thank you for this OT post, it brought a smile to my face remembering that old rivalry.
Brian knows how tempting it is for me to tee off on this topic, but I'll just leave it alone to avoid the BANHAMMER!!!!

...liberty and freedom from federal tyranny are underappreciated these days, especially by those have haven't paid the majority of their income in taxes as of yet.
But I find virtually all political speechifying by Obama or any other pol to be boring beyond measure, especially after a full meal. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
Everyone has to make a political comment all the time, be happy for the kids who were graduating, it should be a honor for those kids to have the President speak at their graduation. You SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GIANT YOU PUSSY BITCHES.

I do feel kind of bad for the kid because you know he's hearing about it today. That being said it was still hilarious to watch live.
