I might be in the minority but I'm kind of tired of the Hoke bashing on the site.
He appears to be a good man who was well liked by his players but just wasn't a very good coach.
Let the man be.

Endzone changed my perspective on the Morris thing.  If Bacon's account is correct, it was more an overall clusterfuck on the part of the AD than any one person's fault - and also a screwup by the officials, who gave Hoke bad information (telling him he'd have to sit Gardner even if he called timeout).

Well, being a good coach is all most of us really care about. That's great for the players that they liked their coach, but he kind of tarnished the reputation of something we all grew up loving, and made a lot of die hard Michigan fans hate their own team. Making fun of him and rich Rod is fair game if people so choose

Amen, Brown Bear. I pretty much have stopped replying to the Hoke snark. I personally don't think he was a bad coach, but I'm not getting into that debate at all. It is pointless anyway. Regardless of what Hoke was, Harbaugh is a better coach.

I'm thrilled to have Harbaugh as Michigan's coach, and wouldn't change a thing. It has all worked out for the best for Michigan. And Hoke is a big boy. I don't need to defend him. But all the piling on and endless ridicule and sarcasm is tiresome and pretty juvenile.

Both Brady Hoke and Dave Brandon got one of their great dreams to come true - to be the head coach and AD at Michigan and to run out under the Go Blue banner must have seemed like heaven. To end as it did must be very hard, so let the man be. Few people get to have their dreams come true and then to turn into a nightmare is simply tragic.

I'm in your camp as well SRK.  There will probably be many nights where Brady Hoke thinks about what might have been.  I'm sure he knows and realizes why he was fired.  The scrutiny here seems mostly childish.  There are extensive reviews about his performance as a coach on mgoblog and many other sites, and we all know that they aren't good.  In the end, I just don't have the same level of juvenile amosity towards him that some here share.

I also agree with BB.  My take: Hoke fell on the sword for David Brandon, who was the person dictating what the coaching staff would do on offense and defense.  We will never know whether or not he could have been successful at Michigan if he had been allowed to coach the way he wanted to.

This is actually pretty depressing when you read the article. They bought the land in 2012 and built the house and moved in sometime in 2013, so this was clearly a dream home. And then they had to sell it only a year and change after moving in.

Sure he wasn't a good coach for Michigan, but it sucks to think about all the excitement leading up to moving in and then having to move out shortly after.
