OT-Game of Thrones S6 E7: The Broken Man
here we go!
Man when I saw him I actually stood up and cheered, loved his character, and loved his look at the end of the episode.
The Mountain reminds me of a just huge boxer. His skills may just be okay, but he's so damned big he gets away with it.
The Hound is big and strong... but I think he's much more skilled. The only knock on him was his loss to Brienne. Of course, as we are learning, Brienne is a pretty damned good fighter.
No evidence, just conjecture.
Can he even be killed at this point? I think it's pretty clear that he really isn't "alive" in the traditional sense.
I do hope they fight, just so we can see what is under that helmet.
Lop that head off. Should do the trick.
I think Sandor will end up having to face his fear of fire in order to "kill" Gregor. It seems to have been set up for this, we'll see if I'm correct.
this makes alot of sense. Set the mountain on fire and see what happens. Of course, I fully expect the mountain to keep fighting while on fire, like nothing is happening.
Whatever you do, Sandor, don't commit the same mistake the Viper did. Just keep hacking.
I loved when The Hound just flat out admitted he lost to "one man" and it was actually a "woman." He didn't even seem that embarrassed about it. He could have easily lied and Ian McShane's character would never have known. Briene of Tarth is a badass for sure.

The word from a recent convention is that RR denied that that is happening. I really wanted her to appear as well.
Because he denied Coldhands was Benjen in the books too.
He said he would love to see it, but it is not happening.
And Coldhand is not Benjen. Not in the book. The show has merged several characters from the book before, but that has no effect in the books.
George, unlike the show producers, has never lied about the show or the book. He just says things like "you will see" when he does not want to reveal stuff.
Almost everything is pointing towards a Lady Stoneheart appearance. I'd expect to see it in the penultimate episode.

I don't particularly like hippies, but I'd follow Ian McShane anywhere.
He really is a great actor. He's been great in just about everything I've seen him in. Captivating.
-Why would Clegane go back to King's Landing? What's his motive for doing so?
-Why would the Faith choose him as its champion? You'd think they already have someone lined up. My guess would be Tommen, just to really fuck with Cersei.

is pure George R.R. Martinesque. You sir (or ma'am) are an evil person. Love it!
Surely he would refuse, knowing that it was suicide. Also, The High Sparrow knows that if Tommen is killed (especially without an heir) he and the rest of the Faith Militant are fucked.
I really hope every single member of that little cult ends up with their heads on pikes.
Well, now that after Ray got smoked... The Hound is back on the warpath. What better way to end a revenge tour than kill the guy who shoved your face in the fire and disfigured you for life?
The rose is a symbol of House Tyrell. Specifically, their sigil is a golden rose on a green field. I think it means Margaery is just playing along; her loyalty is still to Tyrell.
Margaery engineered this whole thing to isolate Tommen from his family. He's a weak-minded fool. Not sure how she intends to fully use it to her advantage, but she's clearly making a play of some sort.
I think she did it to save her own ass from a walk of shame. She didn't count on a military rescue since Cersi didn't get one.
Now she doesn't know what to do.
I think you're right. She couldn't possibly have known the military rescue was going to happen. That being said, I'm almost positive the High Sparrow knows Queen Margaery is playing him for a fool, and I don't think it's going to work out the way she has planned. I, for one, would enjoy seeing both her and Tommen catch an axe/sword/hammer/nuke to the face. That idiot can't be allowed to rule any longer.
But I don't think it will be this season. Maybe once Dany finally invades and the dead are marching south.
I like Margaery though. Whatever is wrong with her face is crazy sexy to me.
I like the actress who plays Margaery. I have no idea what's going on with her look, but I agree it's fantastic. As far as the actual character, I can't stand her. She's a little Cersei in the making, but she's more cunning. I have a feeling we will get led to believe she's pulled off some great ruse, only for her to be killed at the last second.
I like her character and don't see how she's at all comparable to Cersei. She's cunning and ambitious, but when has she used that to hurt anyone who didn't deserve it? Cersei has been an evil little shit since early childhood.
Her "transformation" was immediately preceded by her meeting with her brother... Where he begged her to make it stop. I think she's trying to save him with the added bonus of isolating the king from Cersei.
I honestly feel bad for the kid. He's a nice little boy who wants to do what he thinks is right, but he's so far in over his head and so unqualified for the throne. He can't realize that Margarey is clearly manipulating him and isolating him away from his family. Not his fault, but its going to be his undoing.
Cersei is going to do something that ends up getting him killed. Every little scheme she's ever had ends up horribly backfiring on her. It always goes back to what Tywin told her a few seasons back:
"I don't distrust you because you're a woman. I distrust you because you're not as clever as you think you are."
I think either Cleagnebowl or 'Battle of Winterfell' will happen this season, and everything else will be pushed to next season. Assuem BoW happens this season..
Ep 8: The Mountain kills a bunch of sparrows, probably rips lancel's head clean off. The Hound kills a bunch of bandits. It's been a long time since we've seen either in action, so we need to remind the audience that they're scary dudes.
Ep 9 Cersei trial by combat announced, she selects the Mountain. Word gets to the Hound. The faith are willing to take him as their champion because he's not afraid of the Mountain and has an equally bad rep. The Hound could do it to avenge his recently deceased family, to get paid, but really he'll do it to finally kill his brother. That's the hate he mentioned that kept him going.
Ep 10 Cleganebowl weigh-in, battle of winterfell. The Mountain refuses to take any drug tests, causing a minor kerfuffle.
S7e1: kick things off with a bang with Cleganebowl.
they inglorious?
Ep. 8 - I think we see some kind of resolution with Arya and the waif. aOr are they the same person....
Google image search Faye Marsay who plays the waif with safe search off.
Ep. 10 - I think we see some cliffhangery glimpse of LSH.
She looks much better naked.
There is a 0.0% chance they kick the CleganeBowl can to Season 7. You don't give a hearty welcome to The Hound and then let people forget why he matters for the next 12 months. The fans are already waiting for it, as it's one of the few things that the could really end the season with a huge bang. The highlights from the rest of the season seems to preview The Mountain's lethality, and I'm sure we will get to see the same from The Hound when he slaughters the bandits who killed his friends. I'm pretty sure the big tease for season 7 will be the war between Jon Snow and Ramsey Bolton's Army for control over The North. I also think we may get to see Snow made into a Stark by the end of the season, but I'm unclear on who has the power to do that. Maybe Uncle Benjen, since he's now back and would be appear to be the eldest male Stark.
There is a theory floating around that when Robb legitimized Jon it was written down as a declaration. Someone has it, perhaps the Blackfish.
