OT - Exonerated player gets NFL gig
Didn't see that this had been posted but found it to be a great story.
As previously posted on this blog (and news outlets everywhere), former USC commit Brian Banks, served a 5-year prison sentence for a rape he didn't commit, and was later exonerated. Now the Atlanta Falcons have signed him. Just awesome to see that his life has been turned around as he richly deserves.

pretty cool.
I remember reading his story in August or so, and they were saying that a team was probably going to sign him sooner or later. Great to hear his life has finally turned around so much.
It is great to finally see a wrong made right. As for the woman accuser, she should do at least 20 years or more behind bars.
We have feminism to thank
Sadly, rape is one of those crimes where once the woman accuses it you are guilty until proven innocent and innocent rests on basically the woman admitting she is lying before you rot in jail.
I've never seen a feminist group organize a march or gathering of any kind to educate women on the ethics of falsely, purposefully accusing innocent men of rape.
Goes to the Bahamas, he and buddies hook up with chicks who on video before and after alleged rape seem absolutely down and ok cry rape. IIRC, she later admitted she was a willing participant and cried rape to not look like the slut the video made her clearly look like after her Dad heard she was drinking on vacation. Yet, after, the guy had a hard time even getting tryouts.
Case in point.
It's okay for women to ruin lives, long as their feelings are fine at the end of the day.
Right?
You may be the most terrible person I have ever encountered on the internet outside of Youtube comment threads.
Thank you
We can agree. Rape = bad. False accusations = bad. But don't blame feminism. Blame greed.
Life was better back when accusations of rape were minimized and/or ignored. Great system. Hooray rape. Keeps men happy, keeps women from gettin' yappy.
That was your point, right?
Was it my point? Or you just projecting your sarcasm on me?
I guess it's possible you were saying something even worse, given your other comments above. But your second question here makes little sense. I was indeed being sarcastic, but had I been projecting my sarcasm on to you, I'd have thought you were mocking the poster before you. But obviously I didn't think that. So no?
I guess it's possible you were saying something even worse, given your other comments above.ironically i was going to post a more detailed explanation of my single, specific critique of feminism, which is a failure on their behalf to educate women on the negative consequences of accusing innocent men of rape...on PURPOSE. I have no problem with women ending rape culture, arguing for fair standards in the workplace, all that good stuff. If that makes you see me as the worst person on the internet, cool
The worst person on the internet today is Willhouse. He was single-handedly responsible for all of the internet scams, after all.
When did it become the unique province of feminists (but not parents or teachers) to educate women (but not men) about the evils of falsely accusing innocent men of rape (but not other kinds of false accusations)? And when did feminists decide to abdicate this educational role...on PURPOSE?
I'll be rooting for him the whole way. Best of luck to you, Brian.
What she did hurts women in my opinion, when you cry rape when it's not rape, people are less likely to listen to real cases. Just like crying wolf, plus she took away 10 years of his life. Shouldn't be able to just walk away from that
I very much agree on all counts.
Where can I buy the book and when does the movie open?
Have you guys heard of "After Innocence" documentary? Follows the After Innocence project, they promoted it a lot on campus in '06. It's on netflix and quite the eye opener on the legal system. Super scary, and super sad.... It's on netflix and I strongly recommend it.
