I'm rooting for the Patriots and 49ers. Hopefully Tom puts Peyton in his place again.

I'm still smiling from the win over Wisky.
Also awesome to see Charles Woodson on the NFL Network pregame show.
Go Blue, Go Brady! BLUE KNOW IT!

I had forgot who else was at that Heisman ceremony. I knew Charles beat out Peyton, but I had forgotten that Leaf and Moss were there as well. Awesome to see that Charles is still playing while two others in that pic aren't.

I dont mind Peyton at all to be honest.....I just like Brady for obvious reasons and I also feel that Brady has done it with much less talent around him than Manning ever had to deal with.
I mean Brady had 1 1/2 yrs with a HOF WR in Moss. Peyton had years with Wayne/Harrison and did squat with it.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:51 PM ^
I agree. Woodson bested Manning for the Heisman. Brady has been more of a winner and has a head-to-head edge on Peyton. Peyton was in the SEC and has not played in the NFC north. Yes he gets a lot of attention and puts up monster numbers. He is a great quarterback, but even I, as a Peyton homer, admit he leaves much to be desired when it really counts. I just really don't get why Michigan fans dislike him so much.
January 19th, 2014 at 4:00 PM ^
I don't hate the guy at all. In fact, I enjoy watching him play and think he is hilarious. Some of his commercials and SNL skits are absolutley funny. However, I have also spent time with Tennessee fans and it quickly became MY guy vs THEIR guy and they refuse to acknowledge that Woodson won the Heisman and Peyton didn't deserve it.
January 19th, 2014 at 5:35 PM ^
I mean, Tom had 140 passing yards in his first Super Bowl. In the early 2000s the Pats had one HELL of a defense, so they didn't need Tom to sling it out as much.
January 19th, 2014 at 7:12 PM ^
I went to school at Lee U in Cleveland Tn the year we won the NC and Woodson beat Manning for the Heisman. Vols fans suck and I could not stand Peyton which translated into his years with Indy. I was kind of meh about him coming to Denver because of the neck injury and all. Obviously being a Bronco fan I have enjoyed his work with the Denver talent and now helping us get to Da Bowl. Peyton has been to multiple divisional championships, several super bowls and helped win one! Maybe Manning had a bit more talent but Brady had the better teams! I am a Brady fan for sure (not against my Broncos) but would have loved if they beat the Broncos for him to help the Pats win another one. Most Michigan fans have rose colored glasses when it comes to this debate though! They both have had amazing careers and that is the truth!
Go Broncos! Go Blue!

I don't hate Peyton, I just think Brady is better. So I hope that Brady does better whenever they face and just in general throughout his career.
January 19th, 2014 at 5:34 PM ^
I doubt many people here hate Peyton. In fact I want Denver to win.
With that said, I love the Michigan trolling Peyton meme. Gives me a laugh every time.
And it has been earned.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:32 PM ^
Hope Brady and his gang of who are we's get it done....besides Edelman I'm not sure the patriots have one WR who would be in the NFL if not for being with the patriots.

"Cut that meat! Cut that meat!"
January 19th, 2014 at 3:35 PM ^
It looks like they are going to be allowing alot of contact on the WRs today, which is fine as long as they call it the same both ways.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:40 PM ^
LOL...after all the contact in the 1st qtr and they call that crap.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:40 PM ^
Tough call for NE. 4th and 15 at around the 40. You hate to punt from there, but 4th and 15 is a low percentage play.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:42 PM ^
Big drive for Denver to at least try to reverse the field.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:43 PM ^
I am wondering now if Phil Simms would often tell Stacy Robinson that was going to throw the ball so well that he would not catch it and that he would just rather he took the odd offensive PI call if it appeared that holding was imminent. I don't know if that's how it is supposed to work, Phil.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:49 PM ^
Suspect officiating thus far.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:50 PM ^
No matter how physical the refs let a game get they are never going to let you grab the WR's arm while the ball is in the air. That was the right call.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:53 PM ^
It's like an umpire that switches his strike zone throughout innings.
Frustrating.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:54 PM ^
The calls they have let go have been jamming the WRs. There is a big difference between jamming a receiver and grabbing onto one.

Jamming wideouts in the endzone 15 yards down the field?

January 19th, 2014 at 3:51 PM ^
Not sure why Welker was allowed to get away with that pick on that pass play and the Denver OL is absolutely mauling the patriot DL right now.
Manning has all day to scan and pick this secondary apart.
January 19th, 2014 at 4:00 PM ^
they call what appeared to be barely a brush against the Patroits yet two much harder picks set by Denver are let go. Don't make it so obvious NFL. If by mauling you mean a lot of holding I agree.
January 19th, 2014 at 4:06 PM ^
January 19th, 2014 at 7:20 PM ^
It does not get called and every NFL O does it. Illegal and dirty because it is against our beloved Michigan QB's team? How did that Welker comment work out for you?
January 19th, 2014 at 9:01 PM ^
January 19th, 2014 at 3:53 PM ^
LOL and the Patriots DL continues to get destroyed.

I don't think they'll be a consistent Super Bowl contender without him. They'll probably still make it to the playoffs, but not be as big of a threat.
January 19th, 2014 at 7:26 PM ^
That will give some proof to just how great TB's football and leadership skills are! Plus a lot of it has had to deal with Bellicheck as well.
January 19th, 2014 at 4:04 PM ^
He is the straw that stirs the drink. It would be nice to see Mallet step up and take charge because of his M ties but he obviously has huge shoes to fill.
January 19th, 2014 at 4:25 PM ^
This is a general question, but do people consider Mallet an alum? I know he techically is, but I never really think of him as one since he was barely there.
January 19th, 2014 at 4:25 PM ^
I don't but I will say that I have taken an interest in his career because of his time in AA. I know a lot of people were upset that he left but given the circumstances I don't hold his decision against him at all.
January 19th, 2014 at 3:58 PM ^
Tom Brady has masked kraft's cheapness as it goes in pulling in decent guys. I agree once Brady is gone the Pats are screwed because they are unwilling to spend money.
