Also degenerates unite... Anthony Richardson from UF declared for the draft and is skipping the bowl game. With Jon Kitna's son's problems recently, that only leaves sophomore Jack Miller and true freshman Max Brown on the roster as scholarship QBs. They play Oregon St on Dec 17 in the Las Vegas Bowl. Pound that Beaver line (betting) hard.

Going to OSU. His brother is heavily considering OSU and his parents are very high on the buckeyes. Id be fine with it, if his brother werent ANOTHER 5 star DE

You don't want to be benched?  Play better...  I don't blame Dabo for benching him in the few games he did, DJ never really developed beyond his freshman year.  Could be said that's Dabo's fault, but the player has to accept some blame, also.

He'll make some mediocre team slightly better and be hailed as a hero next year.

If I were a Clemson fan, I’d be so pissed at Dabo for a wasted season. He had no hesitation pushing out Kelly Bryant, who actually could play a little, for Trevor. And that was 100% the right call.

Gets the same situation with Klubnik and never went to him even when it was clear after Wake Forest he was the best option.

Living in SC and with my daughter attending Clemson, I pay a bit of attention to the program. Good college friend of mine is a beat writer there. DJ is a well loved teammate that everyone on the team loves, that said he could never quite put it all together. He has all the physical tools, but his mechanics aren't great, his accuracy is bad and his decision making isn't great. If he ends up at an upper tier team like Tennessee or OSU as I see suggested here, I don't think he gets off the bench. He would be better served going to a middle or lower tier team that can help him correct his issues and give him playing time. Seems to be a great kid, just can't put it all together.

All that said, as I'm sure everyone noticed, from the moment Klubnik went in for DJ it was a totally different team. They looked more like the old Clemson. Word is that his play at Notre Dame is what kept him from taking over for DJ earlier, he just wasn't quite ready. Looks like he is now.

In general the Clemson fanbase is ecstatic as DJ is the brunt of all the ire from a lackluster season and play. That said, it truly was his play that brought it on starting from last year. Wish him the best and hope he learns how to put his skills to work, but unless he finds the right landing place I don't think it'll happen and he will be in a long list of "what ever happened to that 5 star player?"

I don't think it was coaching, its obvious seeing all the other successful QB's they've had and how Klubnik played so well coming in as relief. I honestly think DJ was over rated as a recruit in part, another part was the high expectations and another is sometimes players come into a program and just never seem to blossom. That just might be the case here. Maybe with less limelight or xpectations he would do better.
