OT: Bring your own cup slurpee day

Submitted by WestQuad on

Today is national bring your own cup slurpee day. My kids loved it.  We brought three giant cafe bustelo containers.

Get yours.

(that isn't me, but I admire her moxie.)

(I do not work at 7-11 or own any stock.  I'm just a fan of bringing my own container.  If only bars did this promotion.)

I thought if your cup doesn't pass through their cardboard cutout, you can't use it,

Last year I stopped in a 7-11 to take a leak before a long drive and I was really confused as people were walking in with empty blenders.

But not desiring to ride around in a cart in Wal Mart in the future, I moderate my intake of slurpee so this promotion does not do much for me.

Plus, Racetrac has frozen Dr. Pepper.

But hey, if you have Diabetes, the best thing is to take is inhalable insulin called Afrezza. You can then have your slurpee and keep your blood glucose levels in check and minimize your hypo.

About an hour ago, there was someone walking down the street spooning Slurpee from a narrow but rather deep Tupperware container. We have a 7-11 not too far from here, and it is usually a big hit around these parts. So far over the years, the funniest one I've seen people take into a store was a small skillet.

From the 7-eleven website:

Michigan is home to eight of the top 10 Slurpee-selling stores in the company, with Detroit-area stores selling about 3.5 times as many Slurpee drinks per day than the average U.S. store.
