OT: Brandon Jennings Injures Leg
January 24th, 2015 at 11:37 PM ^
Well time to join the Sixers, Lakers, Timberwolves and Knicks on the tank train.
Jk, Augustin should be a decent backup no?
January 24th, 2015 at 11:49 PM ^
but he's having a rough year shooting the ball. I'm excited to see what Dinwiddie's got. Just wish his minutes weren't coming for this reason.
January 25th, 2015 at 1:15 AM ^
If you look at his number son the year, then yeah it won't blow you away. But his numbers since Josh Smith was waived are All Star caliber (still some inconsistencies night-to-night, but overall it has been drastically better), and he has been playing the best basketball of his career by far. The timing of this injury is absolutely terrible, and I felt physically ill watching him writhe around on the ground in pain. :-(
It was so much fun watching him during this Pistons run, and I really grew fond of the guy. But what's done is done, and I won't write this team off yet. In SVG we trust.

Augustine filled in for Rose quite well last year. And this gives dinwiddie a chance to show what he's got. But this still sucks jennings was turning a corner with his game.

Karma sucks Brandon
January 24th, 2015 at 11:48 PM ^
Which Brandon?
January 24th, 2015 at 11:51 PM ^
for what exactly? Not sure any organization that employs Jason Kidd should be willing to believe karma is real anyways.
January 24th, 2015 at 11:54 PM ^
Those who believe karma shouldn't be saying things like that about an injured player.
January 24th, 2015 at 11:55 PM ^
Anyone that expresses glee when any player suffers a serious injury is a horrible person.
This is their livelihood.
With that being said hopefully it is not a complete tear.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:08 AM ^
You are a fucking douche.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:20 AM ^
Brandon Jennings and monte Ellis gave the big middle finger to the organization. He didn't give two shits about milwaukee. Why should I feel sorry for him
January 25th, 2015 at 12:22 AM ^
You don't have to feel sorry for him, but your original comment reeks of dickish vengence, which is ironic considering you think it's, "karma." Hypocrite thy name is you...
January 25th, 2015 at 12:24 AM ^
Playing a sport is just a game. Being happy or glad about someone being injured is just stupid.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:53 AM ^
Hopefully you don't fall off a ladder, or cut a finger off by accident with scissors next week while at working, but if you do karma is a bitch.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:21 AM ^
Sour grapes, with Jabari's injury, GoBlueGB? It isn't cool to ever wish an injury on anyone, or to rejoice when someone goes down. That's just being a jerk. These guys lay their bodies on the line, and it is crummy when something like this happens.
I'm not a believer in Karma. But you better hope that Jabari gets healthy and stays healthy. As a Bulls fan, I've seen how seasons are easily ruined by injuries.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:31 AM ^
You could make an argument for Knight being an All star this year. Good trade
January 25th, 2015 at 12:56 AM ^
If you feel no sour grapes, why the vindictiveness?
January 25th, 2015 at 8:02 AM ^
I am wondering the same thing honestly - considering how the last 13 seasons or so have gone in Milwaukee, an aggrieved, vindictive Bucks fan just doesn't seem like more than a remote possibility. In any case, calling an injury to a player "karma" is rather immature and inappropriate, but it came from about the last fanbase that I would expect in NBA terms.
January 25th, 2015 at 10:07 AM ^
Because he is an Izzo-ish douchebag? Get well, Brandon.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:43 AM ^
You may want to take a break from posting and watch some of your Packers hopefully avoid injury in the Pro Bowl.
January 25th, 2015 at 8:48 AM ^
I logged in just to neg you. What possibly made you think that was anywhere near an appropriate thing to say?
January 25th, 2015 at 12:34 PM ^
real classy
January 24th, 2015 at 11:52 PM ^
You're up, DJ. It'll be interesting to see if the team adds a PG to the roster thru FA or a trade. I'd let DJ play a few games with Dinwiddie back-up before making any moves, but this team needs to strive for the playoffs, not take the ever-so-popular tanking route.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:05 AM ^
left the roster spot open after waiving Smith. Should allow them to either bring someone in on a 10-day contract or permanent basis if they feel it's necessary. Wouldn't mind seeing Seth Curry sign a couple 10-days. Shooting close to 51% from three in the D-League on almost 8 attempts per game.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:03 AM ^
He was coming on strong since Smith left. Hate to hear this.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:04 AM ^
That certainly looks like season ending torn achilles tendon.
January 25th, 2015 at 12:18 AM ^
I hate to see injuries to anyone, any time. This really sucks for the Pistons.
As a Bulls fan, it has been very tough with D Rose's injuries, and Joakim Noah. (and they're not the only ones.) Pacing is so important, and staying healthy is critical. Sorry for Pistons and Pistons fans.
January 25th, 2015 at 2:27 AM ^
He has been playing well. Hope it's not career threatening.

Izzo is in his basement cackling?

Kid was playing the best ball of his career
January 25th, 2015 at 1:25 PM ^
They have backups, and now with better spacing between Monroe and Drummond there should still be shots for guys like Augustine to fill in. They probably won't sneak into the playoffs, but the Pistons could still have a nice showing to end the year even without Jennings.
January 25th, 2015 at 6:04 PM ^
Full tear. Season over. And probably for the Pistons, too.
