OT: Bad & Good Things to google at work.
After listening to a nice tune called "boy with the arab strap" at work today, I googled arab strap on my next break. Since I have little privacy and ladies about, this was an unfortunate choice.
One good thing to google at work is WOXY Vintage who played the song since they have nice banners for American Apparel scroll by on a fairly convenient variable reinforcement schedule.

have hit the sauce this evening. What is that last sentence?
I even tried reading it out loud a few times to try to comprehend it, but wound up cracking up each time. My wife thinks I've finally lost it.
Technically it would likely be a variable interval (as opposed to ratio) schedule of reinforcement, and chances are (since I'm sure there's a program determining the frequency at which it pops up) it's actually a fixed interval schedule of reinforcement. Have fun with that sentence.
Sorry, I'm a psych nerd (psychologist, actually) and couldn't resist.

In the relatively early days of online shopping, my mom wanted to buy me some sporting goods. She typed in dicks dot com into her browser (for Dick's Sporting Goods) at work. The results were unfortunate, with many pop-up ads.
True story, she called me after just laughing so hard that she was crying.

Unfortunately, I can attest to those pop-ups as well, since I did this one as well. Once, without thinking, even though I should have known better. One of the endless loops unless you force quit the browser.

"This is no declaration, I just thought I'd let you know goodbye"
Said the hero in the story
"It is mightier than swords
I could kill you sure, but I could
only make you cry with these words"
Yeah, Boy w/ the Arab Strap is my favorite album of theirs, and resides in my overall top 50 albums. It's almost perfect beginning to end, and makes for awesome sunny day driving music.
I never knew what the term 'arab strap' referred to until I just looked it up. Apparently it's a sexual device to help maintain erection (I'm at work so didn't explore exactly how it does that), as well as the name of a fellow Scottish band that B & S toured with early in their career. They liked how the words sounded together.

Whitehouse.com was a good one back when I was in high school trying to do research....it's been taken down though.
Also, I love the band sublime. They used to have a bunch of bootlegs on a site called sublimearchive.com. Not to be confused with sublimedirectory.com Learned that one time and never forgot it.
I once googled "the pen is mightier than the sword" at work to find out who first said it. Let's just say there's something to be said for sure-handedness with the space bar.
UMfan, whitehouse.com came up in middle school when the prudest, most conservative tightwad in the class needed to look up a few government policies. Oh yeah. School computer internet filter fail.
He typed penis.
waitwaitwait.....are you selling penis mightiers?

Someone once told me to type "thats not sexy" and hit "i'm feeling lucky."
I advise you all to not do the same.

What is wrong with me that I did exactly this?
Anyway, I agree with manwiththemoves - do not do this, on penalty of blindness (I can touch type).
