OT: Is anyone paying this much for NFL football?

I can't see the value in paying $250.00 to watch a couple of out of market games a week. This is on top of your regular streaming service bill. Regular price is $349.00.

It’s interesting how some people on this blog build their personality around boasting how much they’re disinterested or hate watching the “No Fun League”.

I used to pay the $100 for the direct tv streaming app which was atrocious and limited to one game. Will likely pony up if I can watch multiple games at the same time.

It’s not generally for people to watch random out of market it games, but rather for people who live out of market for their team. In which case the price makes a whole lot more sense.

Do you like the NFL Football-Check

Is your lifelong favorite team out of market-Check

Is your lifelong favorite team supposed to be pretty good-Check

$250 is chump change and all the boxes are checked...for me it's a no-brainer. I'm sure I'd be spending way more than that $250 somewhere else if I wasn't watching football on Sundays.

I signed up the first day it was offered.

I'm so cheap I get the lowest tier available from Comcast, which means I get no sports programming beyond what's on broadcast channels. If my wife didn't want to have access to a few shows on network television I'd cut the Comcast cord entirely.

i don't know, man.  i'm a lifelong lions fan, and if i lived outside the midwest i would probably drop that much to watch every game for a season.

I've watched the Lions on Sunday Ticket while watching Redzone on Xfinity at the same time. I've found that I still get to see a large portion (at least the important stuff) of the Lions game on Redzone. They also replay any highlights they weren't able to show live.  Plus, I get to see all the other action going on in other games. I can live without ST.

Well, when your favorite team is in a different market than you live, you may feel differently. Not everyone roots for their current “local team”—some of us have to move across the country for careers. So, yes, the money is worth it when compared to how much it would cost to go to one NFL game with my family, or even just my wife.
