OT: AC/DC could be done
It had to happen eventually, but it's sad for it to happen like this:

First Nik & GRIII and now this????
Thanks a lot Obama.
I heard Brian Johnson say that young's stroke "shook him all night long".
If this story is fake that is some Big Balls to report this
are we talking charity balls or pleasure balls? because those are the balls that i like best.

I'll be back in black for the rest of the Spring in mourning.
Have a Drink On Me!
Reunion tour shot down in flames.
Was this a dirty deed (done dirt cheap)?
Nah. They're going to Listen to The Money Talk.

I shoot to thrill.
on a more serious note i am severely saddened by this news. was really looking forward to the Iron Man 4 soundtrack.

Black Sabbaths Iron Man was not played in the sound track of the first Iron Man!
All good things must come to an end.
I hope you're more accurate than I am on this one.
all over the place, but the one I posted above was as positive as it gets.
THIS is why we're the saddest fanbase in college sports!
Except for the fact that they've apparently made a pact that they won't go on if they aren't all participating.
They've only sold, what, a billion records? There's no need.

Johnson and Young can tour as "AC." That way, they won't be violating any agreement.
"OK, here's the pact: Except for Bon...."
Now if it could just turn out that Aerosmith was on MH370, we would be making real progress.
AC/DC makes me embarrassed to have ever been 14.
Hindenberg then, with Led Zep?
And was it too soon when Led Zep put the Hindenburg on an album cover?
They were still a band?
I thought someone just reposted an article from the 80's online.
Same, but going to a classic rock concert of some of the big bands just wouldn't be the same as it was in the 80s.
Yep, they still put on a great show. Angus doesn't get around like he used to on stage, but he still kicks ass.
I saw AC/DC two years ago at the Tacoma Dome, and they blew the doors off the place. I'm glad I took the opportunity when I had it.
Am a huge classic rock fan myself. This is a pretty questionable story. Tons of other media outlets have rejected this including many of the big writers on the scene. Have been rumors that someone has been in bad health for awhile, but nothing close to this.
They play a type of music (blues-based hard rock) that ages as well as any "popular" music; many of their heroes played in to their 70s and 80s.
More importantly, they still make tens of millions of dollars through touring. If they announced an arena/stadium tour tomorrow, they could sell 10-20,000 seats in most markets, and many times that in LA, NYC and most Europe and South America. Bands "retire" and then realize, "Hey, I could be making millions!" and then they are back in the game.
I will say, I just happened to watch a bit of a ~2-3 year old concert of their's on AXS last night (totally random; didn't even realize I had that channel). I thought the drummer was going to have a heart attack/stroke from the 2nd song on; he looked gassed. Of course, it didn't help he smoked a cigarette (with no hands) thru their entire 3rd song, but I'm sure that's not their worst vice.
BEST. BAND. EVER. Long live the power chords.
People always say that all of the albums sound the same. I always say good. I know when AC/DC has a new album out it won't have a keyboard or any special guest on it. Just rock n roll.
FZ avatar hailing AC/DC as the best band ever. That's bizarre!
+1 Insightful.
I loved both, but I'm not so sure they loved each other.

I am bizarre.
Also, didn't know how many Zappa fans where on this here blog. I figured I go with him.
I'm so uncool, I thought this was finally Edison's dream.
rock 'n roll, back when* i was at michigan. lots of memories.
(* for the younger bloggers here, that was shortly after electricity was invented...)
