OSU goombas at 11W think Michigan is stopping B1G football purposely

What a bunch of fucking loons.

They’ve completely lost cabin pressure. Apparently it’s Schlissel and the MI governor who are threatening to sue the B1G.

Everything in their lives revolve around Michigan.

Roughly 3 percent of the Michigan alums I know think about Ohio outside of game week.

And there are some reasoned voices on that thread that call bullshit, not just on accounts of the fact that the OP spelled Yacht wrong from the gun.

And the douchebags going after Whitmer can kick rocks. She and DeWine are both well-respected for their responses.

Yes. And not just because of WDs well documented devotion. But any person who feels the need to go over to the rival message board and create a thread about  something going on there should take a hard look at themself before calling the rivals obsessed.

Hello there, I'm a Columbus high school graduate and current UofM student

OSU hates us approximately 10,000 times more than we hate them. I wore a Michigan basketball shirt while going on a run in my suburb last month and got a "fuck Michigan" from a teenager. They put block M's on the scoreboard for OSU basketball games when they want the fans to boo, and THEY AREN'T EVEN PLAYING MICHIGAN. They did this for a game against a d2 school (which they lost) and a game against MSU

You can eliminate OSU and Michigan can still exist with a personality. You cannot eliminate Michigan and still have the same OSU

To be fair, quite a few times at Yost this season the OSU logo was put up on the board to get people to boo. They do it for a “cheer if you like ____” game and throw a few things in everyone hates to get a few boos in. Can’t say whether or not they do it at basketball games but the crowd boos the OSU score at football games too.

It is the nature of our consciousness to patternize our perception into reality. It is our greatest gift and the biggest stumbling block to seeing the world for what it really is. Michigan, Harbaugh, and Whittmer all lend themselves to shallow, 2D patterns when it comes to the knuckle-dragging portion of 11W readership. Another example of unexamed lives, they have my pity.

Has the hate grown larger in the last 30 years?  Because I recall a time when Michigan completely owned OSU, and OSU fans were unhealthily obsessed with Michigan back then.  Those were also some uber-talented OSU rosters.    So I think the "many other variables" plays a big role in how this rivalry has tilted in the last 15 years.

EDIT:  And we can't deny that key among those many other variables is coaching.  OSU hit home runs with Tressel and Meyer.

It’s definitely part of it, they also recruit at a historically great clip, have a local police department and press that is willing to simply look the other way, they don’t even pretend to play school, and on top of all the rest they're a goddamn cult.

Just look at the way their players spouted off about fully trusting osu to protect them and look out for their interests at a time when players throughout the country were expressing concerns, opting out ans trying to organize.

Honestly, I would trade having my favorite college football team lose every year for having an actual life filled with accomplishments, dreams, ambitions, and other interests that are not tied to a bunch of 18-21 year olds hitting each other. When your self worth is a reflection of how good your favorite sports team is, you have really sunken to a low place.

I used to think this talk was crazy and sour grapes sounding but time away from Michigan Athletics like this has made me realize how of little importance sports plays in life in the grand scheme.

The world and life has gone on without it. And it will continue to. I’ll be ready when it comes back.

Why does it feel like a good chunk of the population automatically resorts to conspiracy theories whenever something doesn't go their way? Conspiracy theories used to be kinda fun haha ideas to think about, but now they've somehow become mainstream

Actually, I wouldn't say that Trump is supported by 91% (source?) of Republicans. There is a significant percentage of Republicans who can't stand Trump, but will likely vote for Trump based on particular policy issues.

My family is life-long Republicans, myself included. My dad is still going to vote for Trump. My sister is torn - hates Trump, but policy positions. I'm voting for someone other than Trump. I don't know who yet, but it will not be him.

In my state, though, it largely doesn't matter for whom I cast my vote for president, since IL leans heavily Democrat. Biden/Harris in a landslide here.

Trump won in my sister's county in NJ, although Clinton won the state. I genuinely wonder how she'll vote, but hoping it's also not-Trump.

My dad lives in GA. They're picking Trump.

According to sources in the know, *Sean Hannity* has called Trump "batshit crazy".  You know the GOP has officially jumped the shark when something like this happens.  I have voted both ways pretty consistently over my 30 year voting "career" and it is disheartening to witness how the GOP has fallen.

There are still a bunch of democrats who are convinced Trump and the Russians colluded to win the election, even after Muller spent years investigating this and found nothing.  Bat shit crazy is not the province of any specific party, it is the domain of the nuttiest in each party.

Did you seriously miss the bipartisan Senate report with a majority of Republicans finding that the Trump campaign was knee-deep with Russian intelligence? If there was no "collusion" it appears to have only been because the campaign was too stocked with idiots to actually pull off what they were trying to accomplish.

A sprawling report released Tuesday by a Republican-controlled Senate panel that spent three years investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election laid out an extensive web of contacts between Trump campaign advisers and Kremlin officials and other Russians, including at least one intelligence officer and others tied to the country’s spy services.

The report by the Senate Intelligence Committee, totaling nearly 1,000 pages, drew to a close one of the highest-profile congressional investigations in recent memory and could be the last word from an official government inquiry about the expansive Russian campaign to sabotage the 2016 election.

It provided a bipartisan Senate imprimatur for an extraordinary set of facts: The Russian government disrupted an American election to help Mr. Trump become president, Russian intelligence services viewed members of the Trump campaign as easily manipulated, and some of Mr. Trump’s advisers were eager for the help from an American adversary.
