WOW what an upset. I'm pretty sure James Franklin just saved his job. Now we are 7-0 and likely #2 in the country going into East Lansing with the Spartans 2-5 (0-4)!!

The crazy thing is that Penn State could realistically win out.

Remaining schedule:

  • @Purdue
  • Iowa at home (night game)
  • @Indiana
  • @Rutgers
  • Michigan State at home

PSU will beat Purdue and Rutgers. I really like them against the mediocre Hawkeyes at home in an amped up night environment. Sparty sucks this year and by the time they get to State College (last game of the season), MSU will likely be eliminated from a bowl/have nothing to play for.

Only sizable chance they lose is @Indiana, but Bloomington is not an intimidating environment and IU's offense is far worse than usual this year.

Ohio State has to root FOR MICHIGAN now HAHAHAHAHAHA. Because if we drop a random game to Iowa or MSU, OSU could miss out on Indy even if they win out as the Nittany Lions would hold the tiebreaker. Ohio State would win a three way tiebreaker between the schools as PSU lost in the nonconference so they would be eliminated and then it would come to head to head for The Game.

I am fairly certain it has been a while since we've had a weekend where we won - handily, I might add - and where MSU and Ohio State both lost. Yeah, I like the feeling the results and I could stand to experience more of these sorts of Saturdays.

It also means that the MSU and OSU people at work will be silent in their cubicles on Monday. I do not intend to be silent.

Oh what a night!!! You couldn't script things better. Notice how Herbie's POV changed from Barrett will do something special to pull it out, to how the victory just altered the worldview of college football toward PSU. What a Homer. Well, Urban's run is done. His Oline has been unmasked. The so-called best young team couldn't beat Penn State which Michigan crushed like a grape.
