Oregon v RI game thread
I was surprised there wasn't already a game thread since this is the game generating our next opponent.
Closer game than I expected, but KenPom definitely gave RI a chance. Boucher's absense is definitely being felt, but Oregon is talented. I think that Wagner/Wilson would have more presense in the paint than what I've seen from this. Anyway... the game is potentially coming down to the wire.
Just generating conversation... I have no other vested interest in this but hope for a match up that can be exploited to an Elite 8 run. If the winner plays like this, Michigan has a good shot. They are playing like they can hang with anybody.
It can be the evening open thread. Afternoon thread is bumped. Still a couple games left.
my vote is to keep it going.
Oregon is clearly more athletic though, so I'm rooting for RI
Think I would rather see Oregon next week... Small sample sizes, yada yada.
predicting an Oregon champion a few weeks ago?
They've had a detrimental injury since then.
Wheels are starting to come off for Rhode Island.
22-10 run?
I'd rather Beilein match wits with Hurley. He looks like a complete dope.
Mo and DJ will wear these guys out.
But gotta love the underdog in Rhode Island. Plus not a huge fan of the quacks.
love hearing the announcers mention that the winner of this game gets Michigan next week?? :)
WTH is a Midwest regional game doing in freaking Sacramento California?
+1 informative...but more NCAA idiocy.
No one did anything on that whole defensive series for RI
Guess i'm rooting for Rhode Island because i don't want to stare at Oregons ugly ass Unis and shoes for 2 hours next week
It seems like Rhode Island is a bit of a poor man's Louisville, I would much rather see them than Oregon.

Oregons basketball team is having a good year but it looks like the Cheerleading squad is having a down year. Not up to the quality we're accustomed to from Oregon.
So, what is an "Oregon Mentality?"
it always starts with the word "Derrrrr"

And it ends with an airball...
Sloppy game. Rhode Island fouling like crazy, turning it over like crazy, etc. Still almost won. Bring on the Ducks
They are missing one of their best players (Chris Boucher) though.
