Luge and bobsled are the greatest racing sports ever in the history of man.

The single most amazing thing to me so far in these Olympics is that THIS chick is complaining she cant find anybody to hook up with to do the nasty. WTF Olympians?????

I knew I should have become an Olympian.

What time will that event be on?

This reminds me of the supposed hook up of Katarina Witt (East Germany) and Alberto Tomba (Italy) awhile back.
February 9th, 2014 at 10:56 AM ^
That hookup only happened in La Bomba's fantasies (daily, apparently). When he met her, she gave him the ultimate cold shoulder. Katarina is the classic bee-yatch of all time. Props to her.

So here have a very pretty young woman, and she's spending the next two weeks in an athletes' village, where literally all she has to do is open her door and be social. But she's trying instead to use Tinder and find another athlete online.
Kind of a sad commentary on modern society.

So NBCSP just did an aerial view of Sochi, and holy smokes its absoutely beautiful
February 9th, 2014 at 10:07 AM ^
Does anyone else find it odd that with the Olympics being in Russia that the Russian figure skaters would perform to music sung in English?
It would be easy enough to have it dubbed into Russian. Maybe on Russian TV it is in Russian.
The French skaters also performed to English versions.

What Pink Floyd tune did she skate to?
Stoners everywhere need to know; besides, by the time they show it on TV tonight, most of them will have forgotten the answer.

Shine on you crazy diamond
February 9th, 2014 at 11:18 AM ^
wow, man.
In all seriousness, though, great choice---and one of the Floyd tunes I thought it might be.

English-language music is popular all over Europe. The skaters and their coaches may figure that it's good to choose a song that the judges/crowd are familiar with - or they might just like that particular song.
But really, it's the music, not the lyrics, that matters.

One shot is what it's all about. I keep telling people that, they don't listen.

That guy's still skiing his penalty laps from Salt Lake.

SIAP... but when it comes to hotties at Sochi, the Russkies got us all covered -- not only are they hot, but they have no compunction about undressing them for the camera.
These are just a few of the available pictures (SFW, unfortunately).
February 9th, 2014 at 11:41 AM ^
Hmmm . . . the pictures "are making us uncomfortable," says the author? I found them perfectly comforting myself.

Bloomfield Hills gettin some love. Weird that it's because of an Italian skater
February 9th, 2014 at 11:47 AM ^
A huge number of figure skaters/ice dancers (from all over the world) train in either Bloomfield Hills or Novi. It's pretty cool.
