Ohio State is so G.D. lucky

Yes, Ohio State is a great team.  But they are also god damned lucky, which is highly annoying because they don't need to be lucky as well.

There were about 21 points of swing due to quirky flukes that went Ohio State's way.

Michigan misses an extra point.  Only 1 point, but an omen of things to come.  Dobbins drops the ball, and it bounces right back up into his hands as he is in stride.  OSU then scores on a drive that could easily have been a turnover at a time when Michigan's offense was rolling.  At the 10-yard line, Shea takes his eyes off the snap for 200 milliseconds, which results in a drop, and a lineman's foot kicks it right to a f-ing Ohio State guy.  Ohio State then drove for a touchdown instead of Michigan scoring, which they probably would have done at that point.  Defense finally stops an Ohio State drive.  Then an offsides on a punt gives OSU back the ball, and they go on to score.  DPJ is targeted, clear as day on the replay, that would have kept a Michigan drive alive, and refs overturn the call on the field.  A run on 4th down is stopped when there is actually a nice big hole for once.

Yes, yes . . . I know Ohio State is a great team.  I know that fluky things happen in games.  I know that several of these are mistakes by Michigan.  But, damn it, it seems like every fluky little thing went Ohio State's way.

Except for the Dobbins dribble fumble, those were all Michigan mistakes not OSU luck. All self-inflicted bullshit due to mental weakness. You didn't even mention the dropped TD pass and numerous other drops.

Hudson’s offside on the punt and the subsequent OSU touchdown 2 plays later ended any legitimate shot at winning.  It’s been at least 8 hours since that penalty and I’m still beside myself with anger.

One or two seasons is lucky.  After dozens of seasons . . . they are just better.

Say it with me:  "THEY ARE JUST BETTER."

The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have a problem.   They are better, so what are going do about that?

I'm so tired of this take. Ohio State is not paying their players like you think they are, not anymore than we are. we are so incapable of saying we got our ass beat by better coaching and players. THAT is what happened. NOT because Ohio State is paying players. Winning breeds winning, winning makes 5 and 4 star players run to schools like theirs. FFS they have 3 of the top 5 ranked WRs in next years class.

Why do some people have this refusal to see that OSU gives players benefits that uofm doesn’t. It’s so obvious. I’m sure things happen at uofm that are shady, but their isn’t an organized effort to get top recruits. It’s more rogue agents who would pay the kid regardless of where they go to school. It’s mostly agents looking out for themselves not players.

You morons.  I'm not saying luck is why Ohio State won.  I specifically said that they are a great team.

What I said is that is annoying for them *also* to be so damned lucky.

And I said I understand that several of those quirky flukes were Michigan mistakes.

For F's sake -- do you guys have reading comprehension problems?

That's what helped make it hilarious.

Not just one guy, but two guys working together to untie his shoe and take it off.  And did you see Dobbins' reaction?  It was such a hilarious "What in the hell?" reaction.

I like two things from the game.  One was the great Michigan offense in the 1st half.  It was a thing of beauty -- oh, that it could have lasted through the 2nd half.  The other was The Great Shoe Incident of 2019.

The luckiest part about OSU is the fact Justin Fields is even playing this season. Obviously he should've been forced to sit out. This SHOULD have been a down year for OSU with their QB being Tathan or Chugnov but of course that didn't happen.

Oh no some baseball player allegedly said a racial slur to him before the season and its so bad he had to wait to lose the QB battle with Fromm and then transfer......oh but its also not bad enough to where his sister also had to leave Georgia because she's still there. Fucking NCAA

STOP with this bullshit, we got Shea Patterson to be eligible immediately when in all honesty HE should have sat for a year. It's embarrassing to read people on here acting like the rules should apply differently for us than others. They used the same damn lawyer and the dude knows how to game the system

Well, Shea did probably have a legitimate beef with getting lied to in recruiting about a very-important issue that directly affects recruiting.

Fields' reason is rather lame, but it was smart to go for that, and I would work the same angle as he did if I were him.

I'm of the opinion that all players should should be able to transfer and not have to sit out a year, at least for one transfer.

As I say elsewhere...all we can ask is that they play their best game of the year vs Ohio State. But they almost never do. That hints at this game being approached wrongly by the coaches.

I suspect that Michigan just can't fully appreciate the benefits of being an underdog. The main one being that you've got little to lose. With Michigan you don't get that. Michigan rightfully were a massive underdog in this game, but I bet they went into this game feeling a burden of obligation instead of the hunger of an underdog.

We did a lot of stuff to ourselves and the game plan was to NOT do those things to ourselves.  Yet, we did.  And we lost.  Even worse than last year.  At home this time.

I'm drained.  I felt a lot more angst and fire after losing last year.  Now I am starting to accept the reality that we could be on the losing side of this for a bunch more years.

They get better players than us, year after year.  They want the win more than us, year after year.  This right here is not a recipe for success for the Maize n Blue.
