MGoBlog getting all this publicity is no consolation for this new rendition of horror, but take it for what it's worth.

Article bit: "suggests that the department tried to force Michigan’s medical staff to lie or obfuscate about its diagnosis," as per Brian's post this morning.

Hell, Brian for Guvna...

They quoted MGoBlog on Pravda, and the China Daily.  They also had Brian's picture on the third page of the North Korea News alonside an article about Kim Jung-Un's anke surgery.  Kim is hoping to receive Brian as a diplomatic visitor of the same ilk as Dennis Rodman.

In the midst of all the uproar over The incident, has the league said or done anything about reviewing the game tapes and suspending the Minnesota player who delivered what I saw, as well as ESPN announcers(quoted frequently on the other issues) as a blatantly illegal hit to the head.?

The league should send a message that just because missed in a game, these types of hits will be punished. The officiating crew should be reprimanded or suspended for a game as well.

Have I missed any BIG actions? Do people think that was a legal hit. Leading with helmet to head?

As BS as it is, I think they said something about not doing any postgame reviews of targeting hits, as that is a call that should be determined during play.  I hope I'm wrong because that would be an absolutely asinine stance to take.

I believe they are going to review it as part of the regular review of officiating but they can't impose a penalty after the game.

Yep. From MLive: Cockran's hit being reviewed by the Big Ten, however, doesn't carry any ramifications. According to Big Ten associate commissioner of communications Scott Chipman, no suspension for targeting can be handed down for a play that wasn't ruled in a game as targetting.

I don't know.  I'm not sure why anyone would want to include Brian's theories about Dave Brandon's activities.  Cook certainly doesn't have a strong track record of knowing what Dave Brandon is up to at any given moment.  For instance, in December, 2010 he wrote "Unless meteors hit both Jim Harbaugh and Rich Rodriguez, the chance Brady Hoke is Michigan's coach in 2011 is zero point zero percent."  http://mgoblog.com/content/brady-hoke-and-nature-information

Hoke was hired by Brandon a few weeks later.  Cook certainly didn't have any idea of what Brandon was up to at that time.

Or, recently, when discussing potential replacements for Al Borges Cook wrote "Looking at the top teams in yards per play this year is futile since they consist of guys Michigan cannot get to make a lateral move (OCs at Alabama, LSU, FSU, and Georgia aren't moving)."  http://mgoblog.com/content/totally-useless-list-people-michigan-might-h…

Later that night, it became clear Alabama's immovable OC was coming to Michigan.

Cook certainly writes with an authoritative tone, but he doesn't really know what Dave Brandon is up to most of the time.
