My prediction:
The loser of the Florida/South Carolina game will play Alabama for the national championship.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:42 PM ^
Blog Poll mass chaos! I think Brian might actually put West Virginia #3 behind Alabama and Oregon.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:43 PM ^
Sooo...UM number one in the Legends's division at this point?
October 6th, 2012 at 11:45 PM ^
Tied with Iowa. So, yes.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:46 PM ^
Tied for first with iowa when this game is final.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:47 PM ^
after two weeks Wisconsin is still the only eligible team in the Leaders with a win.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:52 PM ^
But I thought Purdue was going to win it all. Herbstreit told me that.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:00 AM ^
I was trying to work this out earlier: if OSU and PSU sweep everyone in their division, somebody could "win" it with a 3-5 record? Indiana could play for the title at 5-7, theoretically? Go to the Rose Bowl at 6-7, theoretically?

there are only two eligible B1G teams left that are undefeated in conference: Michigan and Iowa at 1-0. BIG TEEENNNNNNN!!
October 6th, 2012 at 11:46 PM ^
One of these days, Ohio is going to lose because Miller is going to have a bad day. Probably against a team that isn't in the bottom fourth in D in conference or nation. Fortunatly for them MSU has a bottom fourth O to accompany their awesome D. Such is the life a team in the B1G.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:45 PM ^
meyer is such a dickhead. Running the score up when he could have taken a knee.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:46 PM ^
Cosigned.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:48 PM ^
Urban is keeping it classy.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:48 PM ^
Nebraska is one of the big boys, they don't need pity.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:54 PM ^
Indeed. Meyer is a dick for doing that but I have no sympathy for Nebraska. They ran up the score like that on many opponents for many years. It's called karma.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:01 AM ^
That's a perfectly fair viewpoint, but I would point out one difference. NU would run up the score in the fourth quarter with a fullback dive by a walk-on from Ogallala. Urban ran his starting back outside the tackles up 18 with 50 seconds left. Nonetheless, it's the defense's responsibility to stop the guy with the ball, and NU can't, well, do that. No sympathy for NU requested, just venom for Meyer, please.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:54 PM ^
I submit that there's a bit of space in between 'pity' and 'being an asshole' that Urban could have shot for. That said, the defense needs to notice that one team is still playing and try to make contact with the guy carrying the brown oblong object before he embarrasses you even further.
To be clear: Urban = jerk; NU defense = theoretical.

is gonna win the rest of their games, at Neb will be challenging and so will ohio but I like our chances.
Just think, had we not gifted the Irish that victory where we pretty much dominated them, we would have 1 loss and near or in the top ten after todays Purdue shellacking.
I say we end up anywhere from 10-4 to 12-2 this year. See what I did there, I have us in the BTCG
October 7th, 2012 at 12:10 AM ^
I hope they drop a million on Iowa for senior day and for last year's mess.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:48 PM ^
That OSU D is awful. Denard is going to shred them yet again.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:48 PM ^
No. No. No. No. No. South Carolina is not for real. They almost lost to freaking Vandy. And the team with one of the worst teams in B1G is the best team?!?? Because their non-confernece sucked? And MSU has the worst scoring O in the B1G and Neb one of the worst D's in the B1G!? Why do these people have jobs still?
October 6th, 2012 at 11:50 PM ^
You can't expect them to say "Hey all, we don't know what the fuck is going on in college football"
October 6th, 2012 at 11:54 PM ^
I would respect them so much more if they admitted that college football is such a high variablity game that it's incredablity difficult to identify anybody but the very best and the very worst, and all guessing about 'who's the best' is useless untill about 12 weeks into the season.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:54 PM ^
with these morons' opinions printed on them? I'd rather figure things out for myself.

Oregon looks sick nasty on both sides of the ball.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:53 PM ^
And their unis are puke-tastic!
October 6th, 2012 at 11:55 PM ^
I would have a hard time rooting for a team that changes its look on a weekly basis. It seems wrong somehow.
October 7th, 2012 at 8:27 AM ^
I'd have no problem doing so if they were facing Alabama...or any other SEC team in the NC.
October 6th, 2012 at 11:55 PM ^
October 7th, 2012 at 12:02 AM ^
We'll see -- but right now, Bama v. Oregon seems to be a decent bet.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:07 AM ^
I forgot Oregon was playing tonight. That's ok though because I makes me a starter for Washington. The only thing I know from tuning in is that the PAC-12 is Oregon, USC and then everyone else minus WSU.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:17 AM ^
I'd throw USC in that thread. Stanford beat USC, Washington beat Stanford, Oregon currently thrashing that same Washington team.
I just think its Oregon then everyone else in the Pac 12, I think USC could lose a couple more
October 7th, 2012 at 12:24 AM ^
I just give USC the benefit of the doubt that they had a bad game but I could live with them out as well. Stanford is overrated but at the same time many teams are so I guess they might be spot on given the turmoil of the top 25.

Cal apparently wears maize jerseys at home. It is amusing to see them handling UCLA.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:26 AM ^
Iowa at Michigan State next week, could be by our lonesome at the top of the division.
Not much in the way of good games next week, hence the Illinois @ Michigan being the ABC game.
Kansas State goes to Iowa State in a battle of unbeatens.
South Carolina goes to LSU, cocks for real for real?
Maybe Tenn at Miss State will be good.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:50 AM ^
I think it's hilarious that Iowa State is undefeated and Auburn is 1-4
October 7th, 2012 at 12:53 AM ^
But, but, Gene won an NC with a guy named Cam, no? It only cost a quarter of a million to get him on campus
October 7th, 2012 at 7:56 AM ^
Chizik runs a HS offense by comparison.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:27 AM ^
and prepare for a week of the ND hype train being ramped up as they host Stanford next week, which I care nothing about.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:35 AM ^
Washington just had the dumbest late tackle out of bounds PF penalty I've ever seen in my life. I am dumber for having witnessed it.

October 7th, 2012 at 12:39 AM ^
who the hell will win the B1G this year?????????
October 7th, 2012 at 12:50 AM ^
Bust out the six sided coin and you might get the answer. Like someone else stated earlier though, the winner of the Big Ten won't feel like one for long. It's like buying the bullets for your execution if Oregon plays in the Rose Bowl.
October 7th, 2012 at 12:51 AM ^
this team where's maize and blue unis with awesome winged helmets, you're welcome
