Noon Games Open Thread
Didn't see a thread going so I figured I would get one going. There are a whole bunch of thoroughly mediocre games starting, but it's football so you are going to be watching anyway.
Personally, I'm mostly watching PSU and Akron. Akron looked good early, but sputtered at the goal line and derfed a chip shot field goal. PSU is not having much trouble now on offense.
Purdue, Wisky, Nebraska, Illinois, and Rutgers are also playing. All are playing awful teams.
I'm also interested in this Oklahoma game. I don't understand why they are ranked so high.

Yet, I hate all of our opponents and wish the worst for all of them.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:04 PM ^
That is correct.

Wow wide fucking open. Put a little air under the ball.

There are more McNeese's in LA than Bulloughs in Michigan.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:06 PM ^
Is there enough Stanozalol for the McNeese's in Louisiana?

Not like that play call
September 6th, 2014 at 3:05 PM ^
Well that play didnt work.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:06 PM ^
Wow what a horrible play call!
September 6th, 2014 at 3:06 PM ^
what sucked about the illegal formation is it had nothing to do with the play. Have to call it but not like a hold or anything that impacted the run. Bummer for McNeese

McNeese kinda crapped the bed at the end of that drive, to say the least. Still, we have ourselves a tie ballgame late in the 4th now.

Maybe don't run a misdirection that runs the RB straight into unblocked blitzers.

"power conference opponent" - thanks for the compliment but that's a stretch.
Anyone know what happened to Gregory? Neb only returned like 3 guys on D and he was their main force. Huge blow if he is gone for extended period.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:10 PM ^
gets a great KO return by Abdullah, out to the 38. Good field position, but I'm not convinced UNL can get and hold a lead.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:10 PM ^
Rutgers had a 31-3 lead. Now 38-25. 5+ minutes left.
Nebraska tied with McNeese State (are they cousins with Appy State?)
September 6th, 2014 at 3:12 PM ^
So did Rutgers start playing their backups or what.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:12 PM ^
I cannot believe Nebraska is ranked 19th. Shoot, Abdula, who has been hyped as one of the best RB's in the nation has 54 yrds on 17 carries. Pathetic.

"It's a miracle"
Then...not.

CORNHUSKER NOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Armpunt negated.

Inelligible man downfield...LAWLLLLLLLLLL
September 6th, 2014 at 3:13 PM ^
Holy shit they called illegal man downfield!!!
September 6th, 2014 at 3:13 PM ^
Haha illegal man downfield costs NEB, could've easily been a big hold, too.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:13 PM ^
I don't think they'll go the small school route again. Narduzzi could get a better job if he wants one...Schiano is out of their league...
Zook? Fickell? Spavital (Texas A&M offensive coordinator)? Joker Phillips?
September 6th, 2014 at 3:15 PM ^
I could see Narduzzi go to Illinois. Purdue? Hell no.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:17 PM ^
Would be a good hire to get Narduzzi, actually and a good move for him within the B1G with an opportunity at reclaiming a once proud program.

No Huskers NO! Ineligible man downfield flag negates a HUGE reception.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:13 PM ^
Nebraska has an amazing play to get to first and goal and it's called back because an offensice lineman was running around the secondary blocking whoever he wanted. At least they called it finally.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:14 PM ^
September 6th, 2014 at 3:14 PM ^
Lucky he didnt fumble on that punt catch - call fair catch dummy.
Lets see if Nebraska's swiss cheese defense can stop McNeese State
September 6th, 2014 at 3:15 PM ^
Whoa - that tennis update is also a stunner.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:16 PM ^
Hopefully we continue to roll because right now just about everone looks awful.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:16 PM ^
Well now Nebraska should have time for a FG.
September 6th, 2014 at 3:17 PM ^
FAKE IT!!!!!!
September 6th, 2014 at 3:17 PM ^
Yeah that was a good idea...throw for 3 yards
September 6th, 2014 at 3:17 PM ^
Very nice punt in that situation. Neb needs about 30 yards to try.

September 6th, 2014 at 3:18 PM ^
WOW that was close ... good lord is Nebraska lucky!
September 6th, 2014 at 3:18 PM ^
This younger version of Tommie Armstrong is not scary.
