Noon Games Open Thread

Submitted by Avant's Hands on

Didn't see a thread going so I figured I would get one going. There are a whole bunch of thoroughly mediocre games starting, but it's football so you are going to be watching anyway.

Personally, I'm mostly watching PSU and Akron. Akron looked good early, but sputtered at the goal line and derfed a chip shot field goal. PSU is not having much trouble now on offense.

Purdue, Wisky, Nebraska, Illinois, and Rutgers are also playing. All are playing awful teams.

I'm also interested in this Oklahoma game. I don't understand why they are ranked so high.

what sucked about the illegal formation is it had nothing to do with the play.  Have to call it but not like a hold or anything that impacted the run.  Bummer for McNeese

"power conference opponent" - thanks for the compliment but that's a stretch.

Anyone know what happened to Gregory?  Neb only returned like 3 guys on D and he was their main force.  Huge blow if he is gone for extended period.

Rutgers had a 31-3 lead. Now 38-25. 5+ minutes left.

Nebraska tied with McNeese State (are they cousins with Appy State?)

I cannot believe Nebraska is ranked 19th.  Shoot, Abdula, who has been hyped as one of the best RB's in the nation has 54 yrds on 17 carries.  Pathetic.

I don't think they'll go the small school route again. Narduzzi could get a better job if he wants one...Schiano is out of their league...

Zook? Fickell? Spavital (Texas A&M offensive coordinator)? Joker Phillips?

Nebraska has an amazing play to get to first and goal and it's called back because an offensice lineman was running around the secondary blocking whoever he wanted. At least they called it finally.
