I'm sure athletes dabble in recreational drugs like molly, weed etc everywhere, but Spence was one of the few dumb enough to get caught multiple times.

Not if the drugs you're taking make you a better athlete. HGH, steroids, etc...
Not saying that's what he did, if he even took the drugs, but not all drugs are weed or acid.
My main point is that the basic label of "drugs" doesn't always allude to things that make you lazy or get the munchies.
In fact they're actually many strains of sativa that give users a uplifting and clear-headed high where a person can be as productive or even more so than their sober state. I can't count how many students I knew in college who abused Adderall or prescription amphetamines to either complete school work or focus for big exams.
Why anyone would want to mix college athletics with hard drugs, I dunno but I'm sure it happens in more places than we think.
Last time I had some Durban Poison I cleaned my entire house, and organized my collection of old house records by key. I wouldn't have even bothered without it. You could say that was performance enhancing.

Yep. That's one reason I don't like to cast aspersions when this happens to other teams. We've had our issues and will undoubtedly have them in the future.
Young guys like pot. And girls. And video games.

Heard from a buddy that Bosa would do acid at parties and stuff. Drug use isn't uncommon, especially among football players.
