USC v Oregon

Auburn v Ole Miss

SMU v Memphis

Cincinnati v ECU

SC  v Oregon looks the most interesting so far. This young Fr QB from SC, Slovis, is unflappable. Oregon has has had some pretty wobbly wins the past few weeks. An upset, here wouldn’t be too surprising.

I don't know if anybody is watching, but Indiana is secretly looking like a really really tough game.  They're punishing Northwestern (well ok, not that scary) but they're on their way to 7-2 with a legit offense and a good defense, and we play them in Bloomington.  The week before Ohio State.

Not saying we won't win, but I 100% think that game will be tougher than the game against Sparty

I agree that game won't be easy but our D will be the best they've played besides OSU. As long as Michigan avoids stupid mistakes it should take care of business.

On the other hand, what happened to Northwestern? I never expected them to repeat as west champions but they may not win another game this year.

Everyone keeps saying this. I'm just not seeing what is so special about them. They lost to MSU (and got outgained by more than a hundred yards) and have zero impressive wins. Their most recent were one score wins against Nebraska and Maryland. They look to me like a team that has been fortunate to have an insanely easy schedule.

I think what scares people so much about Indiana, including myself, is that they give Michigan fits every year, and those are years where they’re just fighting for bowl eligibility and/or their pride. They continually push Michigan to the brink in years that they barely scrape to 5-6 wins. They’re an 8-9 win team this year.

They're going to be fighting for more than bowl eligibility this year. They’re confident, they’re winning, and they’re going to be jacked up to play Michigan. We catch them at the absolute worst time. On the road, sandwiched between our two biggest rivals. Indiana has trap game written ALLLLLLL over it.

That Indiana game DOES scare the hell out of me.  Yes, their body of work in terms of quality of teams isn’t THAT great.  But we’ve had only one stress free game against Indiana since 2006.  They’ve had less talented teams battle us to the wire and come oh so close time and time again.

They’re playing great this year.  The coaching staff borrowed from Dantonio’s playbook and convinced their players that Nebraska doesn’t respect you last week...which later made Scott Frost question what they’re talking about.  There were times last year at the big house where I thought they were intentionally trying to injure our players.  So they play with confidence even if it’s thuggish.

Four years ago when we traveled there, we had to score on 4th & goal to force overtime.  Two years ago when we traveled there, we blew a ten point 4th quarter lead in the final three minutes and had to win in overtime.

The way they’re playing now, with a chance to beat Michigan for the first time in 32 years and possibly get to a non-toilet bowl game...yes, that game scares me.

Watching USC’s freshmen starting quarterback he looks more poised and a better decision maker than Patterson by far.
