I was just going to post this. MGoBlog is on it. Hopefully Harbaugh's in home fixes everything.

His son was just born.

Apparently Drevno and/or Wheatley is making the visit instead, depending on which report you believe.

Since wife of @CoachJim4UM had baby yesterday, Tyrone Wheatley will visit @CCHSfootbal WR Nico Collins today rather than Harbaugh.

We need a Hello: Oliver Martin post.
January 12th, 2017 at 9:40 PM ^
a neccessity (with DPJ and Black already enrolled). But would be great to have a slot ninja in Martin, especially with Perry's future a bit cloudy (hopefully turns out ok).

Why is OP looking at Nico's ballz?

maybe he's a closet Clemson fan?

I don't understand how Georgia recruits so well when they never finish above .500
January 12th, 2017 at 1:29 PM ^
8-5 seems above .500

What is there to speculate? Go read the bagman article and the cheat or go home article and then tell me, what are the odds a 5 star talent is NOT getting offered money?
January 12th, 2017 at 1:44 PM ^
that you understand the definition of speculation.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:57 PM ^
I'm saying the odds he's not getting incentives are 0.0%. Or 0/10.
January 12th, 2017 at 2:10 PM ^
So you are saying that you have proof.
January 12th, 2017 at 2:16 PM ^
I guess that depends on how you define "proof." I mean, I don't have proof that Sagittarius A is a super massive black hole, but all the evidence suggests you'd be a fool to believe otherwise.

I would think the University of Michigan boosters would have plenty of money. Fuck Georgia, don't just level the playing field, slant it.

Stephen Ross already owns 1 football team, why not two?
January 12th, 2017 at 1:37 PM ^
They've always recruited at a high level, supported by being the big dog in an extremely fertile state. That said, I wouldn't be shocked if Georgia's move from Mark Richt to Kriby Smart has gotten them back in "the game" of SEC recruiting.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:58 PM ^
They've had a top 10 recruiting class every year but 1 since 2001
January 12th, 2017 at 2:12 PM ^
Flipping guys that have been to Michigan several times on their own dime and/or had Michigan as a stated leader for over a year is a little suspicious. This isn't just recruiting well, it's changing dudes minds with a single visit pretty late in the process.
January 12th, 2017 at 2:45 PM ^
can really help. If there was one this year, there's a pretty fair chance Collins would have signed early. The later the process goes on, the more desperate some of these southern schools get. And let's be honest here. The vast majority of the time when a player suddenly switches to a new school late in the process after leaning another way for a very long time, it's toward a southern school. <Fill in the blank here with your favorite choice> I don't know how they do it, but several good guesses are dishonest promises of playing time, illegal perks, special treatment not given to other players or athletes, highly negative comments about competitors, etc.
January 12th, 2017 at 4:15 PM ^
What would stop programs from initiating shenanigans just prior to the early signing period?
Sent from MGoBlog HD for iPhone & iPad
January 13th, 2017 at 10:03 AM ^
One would hope that the program in question wouldn't feel as much pressure to "initiate shenanigans" for an early signing period as they would for a later signing period.
January 12th, 2017 at 2:18 PM ^
How many top 10 finishes there buddy to go with those consistent top 10 classes? Enough said. I think of Georgia what I thought of OSU in the 90's. Bunch of losers. I'm sure they'll be picked to win the SEC next year too. Probably 7-6 final record.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:37 PM ^
Is this one of those where your trying to use a bunch of negatives to mean a positive?
Because Georgia has had exactly one under .500 season since 1997.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:48 PM ^
I think it was 2010, if we're going by overall record - they were 6-7 thanks to a loss in the Liberty Bowl, if I remember correctly. Still, they finished 3rd in the SEC East even at that, which is not generally difficult to do most years given your divisional competition.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:57 PM ^
Yeah, some of the homerism on here borders on crazed political discussion where people just say stuff to fit their point.
Truth is, Georgia has had much more success than Michigan over the last decade.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:48 PM ^
They have 23 commits, and 17 are from Georgia, and 1 is a JUCO kid. This is what they do all the time, it's just a great year for talent in the state, and they locked all of it up.
January 12th, 2017 at 2:07 PM ^
Mark Richt was:
9-3, 10-3, 8-5, 12-2, 10-4, 6-7, 8-5, 10-3, 11-2, 9-4, 10-3, 10-2, 11-3, 13-1, 8-4
So yeah, there was that one sub-500 season in 2010.
Richt was 145-51 if 15 seasons.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:30 PM ^
Find out what the incentives are.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:31 PM ^
A consistently crappy team puts together a recruiting class of epic proportions. It's smells funny to me
January 12th, 2017 at 1:34 PM ^
Smart has those four title rings with Saban to fall back on, so I get his success out on the recruiting trail.
Freeze's is the one that smells a little fishy.

to suggest that Georgia is in any way comparable to Mississippi state or Ole miss when it comes to tradition, stature, and results in the field is just incredibly ignorant.
January 12th, 2017 at 1:43 PM ^
I would not call Georgia a crappy team. Have been pretty damn solid for 20 years.
189-67 since 1997
We have a record of..
171-80 in same time frame.

January 12th, 2017 at 2:05 PM ^
171-80 during that span? We were pretty bad for about 10 years.
January 13th, 2017 at 12:29 AM ^
Actually just looked all of this up the other day and over the last 20 years, Michigan is at the bottom end of the top 25 when it comes to winning percentage. I knew it had been bad for a while, but had no idea it had been that bad.
January 12th, 2017 at 2:20 PM ^
This doesnt feel like Ole Miss at all.
Bc Georgia isnt a consistantly crappy team.
