NFL Sunday: Divisional Round Open Thread:
Houston up 14-0 early on the Chiefs with first-and-goal after a muffed punt by Tyreek Hill. Game on CBS.
Seahawks-Packers nightcap on Fox should also be a doozy.
Lots of Spotted Cow and leftover pepperoni pizza on tap for this guy. The trick is not to microwave. Use the oven, keep a close eye on it, profit.

And there's 21-0.
Andy Reid better pull a rabbit out of his hat.
January 12th, 2020 at 5:33 PM ^
Hey comrade, Do you use a pizza stone to reheat your pizza in the oven? Been using one for many years, works great.
January 12th, 2020 at 3:39 PM ^
Putingrad, you diabolical son-of-a...
First the Ravens, now the Chiefs with the shocking home disaster. About to become 21-0!
January 12th, 2020 at 3:40 PM ^
Andy Reid flailing in the playoffs is more predictable at least.
January 12th, 2020 at 3:43 PM ^
I mean he’s not the one dropping footballs.
January 12th, 2020 at 3:48 PM ^
True. This is a sad performance.
January 12th, 2020 at 3:40 PM ^
Looks like KC special teams coordinator will be available soon, if there is a team in the market for one.
January 12th, 2020 at 3:41 PM ^
Wtf is going on?
The NFL playoffs are wild
January 12th, 2020 at 3:43 PM ^
At least Stafford showed up today, unlike the Chiefs.

Football is such a great sport. I have no stake in the game and don’t pay close attention to every media outlet during the week, but because games only happen weekly I know a fair amount about both teams and what is significant as the game begins.
Then you get the environment, the incredible noise and the color.
And then dramatic moments that make or destroy a season. The game is a half hour old and it is deliriously entertaining.
Nothing rewards all viewers quite like football. You can be a casual fan who rarely watches, or you can be a madman who reads every word of every article and watches every highlights show and film study. You can appreciate the coverages and the route patterns, or just enjoy athleticism and big hits.
A sport for all people.

I find it incredibly entertaining to watch the chess match between the OC's and DC's. I see that pass that Mahomes just threw to Williams to make it 24-7 and wonder if Harbaugh is watching and thinking about putting that into the offense.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:21 PM ^
Just want to point out for the record that I wrote this when KC was down 21-0. This first half is all-time.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:53 PM ^
I started making chili at that same point - Texans up 21-0. I could not hear the TV from the kitchen so, when I got to the point where I could sit down, it's halftime and I realized I missed a lot of football.
January 12th, 2020 at 3:43 PM ^
Just turned on the radio to hear the announcer say what sounded like Tyree Kinnel muffing the punt, which confused the hell out of me for a minute...relieved that it's Tyreek Hill.
January 12th, 2020 at 3:48 PM ^
Dont worry Don, Mahomes made him pay for that
January 12th, 2020 at 3:52 PM ^
Tennessee - Houston should be a good game.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:00 PM ^
Remember when the AFC South was widely considered the worst division in football?
Times sure have changed.

Left-over pizza is such a comfort food. Just knowing those slices are in the fridge is like knowing you have money in the bank.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:04 PM ^
Great link! I might use my cast-iron skillet now!
January 13th, 2020 at 12:43 PM ^
What is this "leftover pizza" you speak of?
January 12th, 2020 at 4:15 PM ^
Things I hate about the NFL:
1. Spot foul for pass interference
2. Needing 2 feet in bounds for a catch
January 12th, 2020 at 4:23 PM ^
The spot foul for interference beyond 15 yards is just idiotic. Let's reward a team for not making a play as if they made it.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:32 PM ^
60 yard penalty on a long pass lmao
January 12th, 2020 at 10:03 PM ^
So instead you reward the defense?
January 12th, 2020 at 4:15 PM ^
Whelp KC did come to play, better late than never
January 12th, 2020 at 4:16 PM ^
This is wild.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:16 PM ^
This game is RIDICULOUS... and there are still 8 minutes left in the first half!
January 12th, 2020 at 4:17 PM ^
KC STORMING BACK! WILDNESS!!
January 12th, 2020 at 4:20 PM ^
24-14--wild game.
Starting to remind me of Chargers-Dolphins AFC Divisional tilt in the early 80s. Big lead by road team in a wild game that they end up losing at one point before pulling it out. This is the Winslow getting dragged off the field game if you've seen the highlights.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:49 PM ^
Greatest playoff game ever played!
January 12th, 2020 at 4:20 PM ^
Seriously what the fuck is going on
January 12th, 2020 at 4:21 PM ^
KC running the Nick eubanks ZR TE flat play with kelce today.
This game is bonkers.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:22 PM ^
That lead evaporated real quick
January 12th, 2020 at 4:22 PM ^
Are you kidding me? Ball pops out on the kickoff? 3 TD's in 3:24!!
January 12th, 2020 at 4:22 PM ^
Special teams the direct cause or antecedent to 2 TDS for each team so far.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:24 PM ^
This game is so crazy, CBS ran out of commercial breaks with 6:30 to go in the quarter.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:24 PM ^
Crazy
January 12th, 2020 at 4:29 PM ^
Of course hindsight is 2020 but seriously why go for the fake punt up by 3 scores deep in your own territory.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:38 PM ^
To stay aggressive and eliminate the crowd again. I think if you knew it was going to be Reid versus Sorenson in the open field for a first down, the Texans would have done it again.
January 12th, 2020 at 5:20 PM ^
The last thing Houston needed to do was give life to KC. They were up 24-7 and still in control.
On top of that, KC's receivers were dropping balls left and right—the right move was to punt and make KC throw more passes. The disadvantages of giving KC a short field were vastly worse in magnitude than the positives of converting the fake.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:36 PM ^
O/U was 51.5. Hindsight is a bitch.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:36 PM ^
Craziest half of football I’ve seen in a while!
January 12th, 2020 at 4:41 PM ^
This game has been absolutely wild. I love football
January 12th, 2020 at 4:46 PM ^
If KC wins, Bill O’Brien is going to be hearing about that fake punt for the rest of his life.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:51 PM ^
I thought the decision to kick the field goal on 4th and 1 up 21-0 was the worse call.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:52 PM ^
BOB is an awful game coach, you're up 24 to 7 and you turned the momentum with the failed punt fake and KC scores again in no time to make a game of it and then somehow take the lead by halftime.
What a colossal dumbass!
January 12th, 2020 at 5:04 PM ^
To bad he's not still at Ped St.
January 12th, 2020 at 4:54 PM ^
Spike Albrecht thinks that first half was improbable.
Maybe the craziest, most exciting first half of football I can remember.
