Well hey, they already tried out a guy who excelled in his previous job and that didn't work out well for them so trying a guy who was humiliated in his previous job is certainly doing things a different way!

That's going to be really embarrassing for them.

I always pictured Urbz going to ND after getting run out of OSU.  Does the infidelity thing disqualify him, or does he take over ND next year after freeman is fired?

I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes a hard look at NU. Saw where he claimed to have “snuck into the tailgating area at Nebraska just to meet some of the fans undercover and they were terrific. Some of the best fans I’ve ever met”. I never got tired of the piling on he got last year at Jville. He’s a piece of shit and deserved every bit of criticism he got last year at Jacksonville.

I'm not one to say Nebraska is a program that does things the "right way", especially with the accusations that followed Osborne regarding his players maybe using PED's, but if they hire Meyer, I would consider that a "new low" and put them in the same category of being in the mud with OSU and PSU

For years Urban Meyer protected a man who was abusing his wife. He protected a murderer on his team who would go on to kill several more people. Maybe you think that "isn't that bad" compared to what happened at Baylor or Penn State or what happened with several team doctors (us, MSU, OSU), but it doesn't make sense to be that relativistic about morals. When someone does something really grimy, we shouldn't excuse it just because there are others who do even more heinous things.

If Urban Meyer were a mere cheater, you might have a point. Urban Meyer has destroyed lives, which to me makes his crimes on par with the worst in college football.

I don't think Urban Meyer is the guarantee he used to be in the new world order of NIL and transfer portal. Nebraska may have the potential to do well in NIL given their tremendous fan support, but they are at a serious disadvantage with a terrible local recruiting base.

Urban Meyer has been extremely shrewd in the jobs he has selected over most of his career, usually only taking jobs at the best programs in a conference (Utah in the MWC, Florida in the SEC, and Ohio State in the Big Ten). If he really wants to get back in the game, I think he would hold out for better than Nebraska. And the one true advantage Nebraska had in the Big Ten, playing in the Big Ten West, is going to disappear soon with the addition of USC and UCLA.

I think this is more "Meyer's agent reached out to Nebraska" because Urban's agent has absolutely no soul and will do anything to keep his client's name out there.

If you're Nebraska and you're actively trying to court Urban Meyer you've struck out on a ton of guys and it's way too early for that to be the case.

There's no way a philanderer like Urban would be welcome among the upstanding Christians of Nebraska.

J/K they'd sell their daughters to an Albanian prostitution ring if it got them into the playoffs.
