I forgot what team, but they had slipping issues with the new Nike cleats. They were not very smart and didn't really practice in them and didn't bring backups with them to the bowl game.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:24 PM ^
Apparently didn't hurt them too much, though.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:41 PM ^
I'm not a doctor, and I don't play one on mgoblog, but he's down an awful long time for that to be a sprained ankle.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:42 PM ^
Auburn's already faking injuries for free timeouts.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:43 PM ^
How hard would it be for you to cheer for Cam Newton if he was on your team?
January 10th, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
For me it would be pretty hard.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
I'm sure we'd be okay with him, but I would never feel good about rooting for him. Just too dirty.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:43 PM ^
Go neon feet! You're our only chance to end the four year darkness!
January 10th, 2011 at 8:44 PM ^
That was a very strange late pitch.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:44 PM ^
are god awful. I actually don't mind the rest of the uniform, but those socks are just hideous.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
the kids love em.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:44 PM ^
It's like a glow stick techno rave everytime an Oregon player runs.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
For their own good.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:45 PM ^
I have no idea what Oregon was trying to do with that first drive. Man, I hate the SEC.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
That was horrible!! talk about being scared and nervous.....probably the worst pitch I have ever seen.....Thomas could lose this for Oregon. Wow!!
January 10th, 2011 at 8:47 PM ^
Someone should tell the lead official that the last syllable in Oregon is pronounced like "gun," not "gon." Oregon residents can't stand that pronunciation.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:46 PM ^
I really hope Oregon's D can step up to match Auburn's offense.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:47 PM ^
Ball!!
January 10th, 2011 at 8:47 PM ^
Players are slipping everywhere. How does that happen in a game of this magnitude with an indoor field?
January 10th, 2011 at 8:49 PM ^
It might have to do with the cleats. They are supposed to be amazing cleats, but another team was having issue with the new Nike cleats. They are supposed to have the best traction ever.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:47 PM ^
Headhunters at the game?
January 10th, 2011 at 8:47 PM ^
Auburn has Oregon right where they want them - 3rd and 17. Oh wait, that's UM.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
I keep thinking there is a flag on the play with those socks everywhere.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:51 PM ^
Oregon's D. They are a pretty good unit. Held opponents to about 3 yards per carry and had about 2 times as many ints as passing tds allowed. Their stats are pretty impressive.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:49 PM ^
Totally unrelated: Sigur Ros on a commercial. That's pleasant.
January 10th, 2011 at 8:54 PM ^
That Auburn cheerleader is cute.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:03 PM ^
January 10th, 2011 at 9:03 PM ^
Neither team looks good.
But at least entertaining action for fans of neither??
January 10th, 2011 at 9:03 PM ^
2-1 bad guys. Dammit.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:03 PM ^
What is with these weird end-arounds on every play. They aren't working at all. And 3 turnovers in the first 10 minutes.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:04 PM ^
Ducks offense looks so much smoother than RRs. And its more than just personnel, RRs system looked so unnatural and jerky during his tenure here (and at WVU - although it looked a lot better there).
January 10th, 2011 at 9:09 PM ^
The little guys are ok if they're really fast. We had Denard, but they have a field of Denard lites out there. Denard may be Warp 10, but they have a bunch of Warp 7's, and the rest of our guys are sublight.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:05 PM ^
Almost the end of the 1st and no points on the board... who'da thunk?
This is a defensive battle.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:06 PM ^
Excellent takedown!
January 10th, 2011 at 9:06 PM ^
Depressing game to watch so far. Newton looks lost, Thomas can't throw at all. I know this what happens when you don't play for 5 months*, but man this is hard to watch.
*Yes, slight overstatement.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:07 PM ^
A couple of missed dunks, sloppy boards, a ton of double dribbles...
/s
January 10th, 2011 at 9:07 PM ^
Anyone else think that last Cam Newton sack looked like a fumble?
January 10th, 2011 at 9:07 PM ^
Was it just me, or did it look like Newton fumbled that ball on the sack? Or is it the good ole tuck rule at its finest?
January 10th, 2011 at 9:08 PM ^
Anyone think a playoff would deliver better played title games? I can't help thinking these teams haven't dealt with the layoff well.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:08 PM ^
Is it the D Coordinators have done a great job or has the 37 days off made the offenses rusty and out of sync?
January 10th, 2011 at 9:11 PM ^
It was underrated all year. Oregon's O has been tearing up Auburn; just a couple of really bad throws by the QB.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:09 PM ^
January 10th, 2011 at 9:12 PM ^
Read that perfectly.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:13 PM ^
Ahhhhhhhhhh!
They're already using the new BigTen logo when the officials are identified!!!!
Just as awful as I remembered!
January 10th, 2011 at 9:13 PM ^
Mine keeps saying "This event will resume shortly." But it's far from shortly anymore.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:22 PM ^
My stream is also down. Doesn't seem like it's on my end.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:16 PM ^
Watching this Oregon team is like watching old footage of Bob Chappuis and the Mad Magicians.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:14 PM ^
In this game, at that field position. 2 plays to get the first, and/or TD.
January 10th, 2011 at 9:17 PM ^
You do that.
