Well apparently the Big Ten bowls are starting to make their decisions.
No surprises here, but hopefully we'll see a Mich to Gator announcement sometime soon!

Big Ten No. 6 vs. Big 12 No. 5
Projection: ILLINOIS vs. BAYLOR
January 1, 2011 Dallas, TX
TicketCity Bowl 12 pm ESPNU
Big Ten No. 6 vs. Big 12 No. 7 (C-USA No. 7 if no Big Ten or Big 12, MAC is the second backup)
Projection: NORTHWESTERN vs. TEXAS TECH
EDIT: According to the Insight Bowl's website, they will be announcing their matchup at 615pm. Not sure if that is Eastern or Mountain time.
EDIT II: Michigan is having various confirmations on Twitter that they will play Mississippi State in the Gator, sounds good to me!

Miss. State? No sex appeal in a win. More grumbling and restlessness in a loss.

I am seeing miss st as well
December 5th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
So what does Miss St's passing offense look like?
December 5th, 2010 at 5:18 PM ^
It would look a lot better if they had paid Cam Newton

That was their worst pass all year!

#20 rushing defense and #14 tackles for loss. Impressive but keep in mind these stats are pre-Denard.
December 5th, 2010 at 5:48 PM ^
correct? Those stats seem pretty impressive and I'm more than a little worried about them. Was really hoping for Tennessee.

More prestiege upside if you win not too mention the match up being better for Michigan. You beat Miss St. and not much percieved upside because you are Michigan. Not too mention Miss St. will be motivated playing in their first bowl after Christmas in anyone's memory.

They run the ball, I don't think they pass the ball great. But I could be mistaken

well that clears that up...thanks

Illinois has requested that the game be played on half the field throughout the game. I'm interested in seeing Baylor's response. Illinois is 1-0 in half field games. In related news, Northwestern wants to play on a double length field.
December 5th, 2010 at 6:28 PM ^
Illinois did not do so well when the field was only 25 yards.
December 5th, 2010 at 8:14 PM ^
Don't recall them having any trouble when it was 25 yards...but that pesky 3 yard field seemed to get them swallowed up by an avalanche of DEFENSE!!!

According to the other 3 threads, you may be correct. Yipee that your mom had you, or we would all be without this crucial news, already reported three times!!!!!!!!!!! God bless you and your momma.

Who doesn't want to see Denard in a New Year's Day bowl?
Thinking about that just fills me with joy.
Now all we have to do is DEFEND against them.
Begin purchasing Tums now....

Off topic for the post, but since one of the mods is in town, can the shooting thread be pulled (and the really nasty comment with it)?
December 5th, 2010 at 6:14 PM ^
should be an exciting game for sure. We can see first hand how the chess match between Dan Mullen and RR pan out. MSU has a good defense, and does well TFL. However, watching Michigan football on New Years Day will be awesome. Can't wait to see the team after the extra practices, send the seniors with a bowl win! Go Blue!
Agreed Zone Left.

I can only hope that means they have never attempted one. Not likely unfortunately.

Well I will be in Germany for all of winter break, so I must ask, does anyone know how I will be able to watch the game?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
