1 year 2 weeks ago	Painting is not cheap.	For a quality shop to shoot that hood, with sanding, priming, and all, over $1000.00.  I had a hood shot for a caravan, aftermarket, already primed and payed $650.00.

That guy in the center of the line, what do you call him?....the hiker of the ball(that's what my wife calls him) so we'll say the hiker.  He had one leg.  That big guy over him(my wife calls him the fat guy over the hiker) so we can go with that, ran around the hiker all day long.  That blew up what us more educated fans call the running game.  It was so bad that the back up 'hiker' came in the game for one series, couldn't get it done, and then quit football.   If you base our offense on what you saw in the Sugar Bowl, you must be a Spary Troll, or my wife.  So what is it? My goodness, some people.
1 year 11 weeks ago	He's not having a press	He's not having a press conference.  He's going to let the coaches know the day before, and just let it get announced the next day.  I guess if you are behind enemy lines, you probably need to adjust your game plan if you're going to the enemy.
1 year 13 weeks ago	We agree.	But at this level he's getting away with it.  He won't at the next level. But most of what I see in the tape is him running 'by' the block.  You can only really assess him by seeing game film when the competition isn't  a team that you build your highlight film from.
1 year 13 weeks ago	Remember the school he attends....	If he gets good coaching applies to DPL kids, not these power house Catholic schools.  He probably gets good coaching. When I saw St. Eds, Kettering Alter, etc. play, they are fundamentally sound kids, with basically college staffs and facilities.  So when you see a 4 star kid from a school like this, vs. a 4 star kid from say, Cass Tech, I always believe the Cass Tech kid has the higher ceiling.  That isn't a knock on the schools like Cass and Coach Wilcher, they just don't have the funds or support to run similiar programs. That being said, this kid does run around most blocks, and why shouldn't he?  There isn't enough here with him taking on blockers to know.  I'm assuming our coaches have seen game film, and not just highlight clips, or at least I would hope.

1 year 16 weeks ago	That's what Paterno did....	try and protect the PSU brand.  You would think Knight would have seen how that worked out for him.  If he sincerely doesn't see what Paterno did to fail these children, I feel sorry for him. If he did it for economic reasons, I feel sorry for his company, because it will have negative repercussions on the brand.  Sure, suck up to Penn State, and piss off the rest of the country.  Seems like a bad plan.

Two of those DE's are never moving inside.  And they need tackles, not guards.  Two of the OL recruits they got last year will never make this years roster.  So it's not silly, it's reality.  They are counting on Dodson and Diamond, and they may wiff on both.  Ever see a right guard try and play left tackle?  Look at the moves they are making.  But hey, take two running backs, good for them.
1 year 17 weeks ago	I wouldn't trade classes.	They are desperatlely thin on OL numbers, especially given the fact that a couple they took last year were stretches.  They also are thin at DB, listening to them, and I am not seeing many of those.  They have a more DE's than can play on the field, and I believe took two last year.  Throw in an extremely overrated DT, and I'm not that impressed.  It's almost like Meyer came in and said I know what we need, but we are just going to swing for the fences with 5 star guys, and figure out how to convert them to OT at a later date.  On signing day, we will be back in front of them, on paper and on the field.

Since we all seem to be getting wrapped up in this type of offense debate.  Think Jim would have kept the OC we had, and just gone away from his pro-set?  We are supposed to not like Hoke because he won't run the spread, and most here would seem to be much happier with a JH hire?   Maybe I'm confused as to my reasoning for not wanting Hoke, and readying myself for the plunge off the ledge.

By Les.  However it played out last time, I think he wanted the job, and for whatever reason, didn't get it.  I'm sure his people are following this closely, and know that Hoke is not going to be a popular choice with the fan base.  By letting this leak, he lets all of us know that if his coming back home goes sideways, it is DB's fault, cause he would have taken the job.  I'm sure Mr. Brandon is getting plenty of heat now from the old school guys to bring a Bo guy in.  Well played Les!

2 years 21 weeks ago	It's seems like this may become a bigger issue.	I don't think they were just signing cocktail napkins.  Reports are that they were signing OSU garb, which belonged to the University.  All of their gear is supplied by the University, and needs to be returned when they are done, including shoes, gloves, jersey's, all of it.  To sign a pair of cleats, and trade them away is theft, and from what I have heard, they have recovered some of these items, with players signatures and numbers on them.  We'll see what the NCAA chooses to do.  Didn't Alabama get clipped pretty hard for 'Bookgate?
