Not exactly a vote of confidence for Tuck.

The former coach was a moron, as were all the people that were adamant we transition to a shotgun spread rather than hire a Paul Johnson disciple.

Players and coaches alike fled in droves after a few seasons of incompetence, including Alabama All-American Jahmyr Gibbs.

I'll be the first to admit that I jump on Staee with both feet any time I can. However, it's said on here "if your assistants aren't getting poached then you're doing something wrong." Not saying that Staee is doing anything right, however there's a lot missing here. Did he get a promotion? Is he from the South and missed getting grits with every order? Does his wife hate shoveling snow?

Or maybe this, from the GA Tech web site: "Georgia Tech Athletics Hall of Famer and two-time first-team all-American Marco Coleman returns to Tech in 2023 as defensive line coach." He previously coached OLBs and DEs at Ga Tech, so his move to Staee was a promotion. Now he can make a lateral move and go back home.

Usually those assistants are either getting poached by better schools or getting a promotion (like going from position coach to coordinator).  Is GT a better program than MSU? They might be given the state of MSU, but I doubt that.  Seems like it's just a lateral move by a guy that wanted to go back "home."  Or it could be that he saw MeLLLLLL is a shit coach and wanted to get out of dodge.

One of MSU's bright spots was their recruiting on the defensive line and Coleman spurred that on.  Will be interesting to see what happens now that he's gone.

It is a little weird that this is basically a lateral move both in terms of positions and schools.  He's from GT so there's a connection there and they have a new coach but I would have assumed he'd be shooting for something more.

Don't want to create a new thread for this crumb...

I noticed, as I'm sure others have, that Bill O'Brien is leaving his OC position at Alabama for the same position with New England.

I wonder if Weiss ends up at Alabama.
