I'm dying to know if it's true.
I went over to RCMB to enjoy their crying for a few minutes, and there's a post titled "Ohio State" that's very cryptic about it. The OP responded to a few comments, and one just said "wait 2 more days".

I saw that too. It was odd (and kinda funny) that the OP was actually a Michigan Fan, and most of the reponses were poor-tasting jokes about Michigan
I saw the thread and still can't understand why any self-respecting Michigan fan would subject themselves to that kind of abuse just for the sake of trying to provide an opposing viewpoint to the RCMBers. There is no opposing viewpoint to the delusion and sheer stupidity you find on that message board by the majority of their posters (as opposed to say Bucknuts where most of the posters at least seem to be rational). I guess some are just a glutton for punishment but I'd just as well leave them alone and watch from the sidelines while they meltdown/threadlock.
Jeezis, man, I've never thought of Bucknuts as a haven for logic and rationality but if you think it looks like one up against RCMB, that's probably proof that we've found the absolute worst message board in the world.
Yeah not sure what it is but even though there is of course a loud, unintelligent subsect of OSU fans who will blindly follow the Vest and his minions, I've seen at least a glimmer of rationality on Bucknuts. Sparty fans, at least on RCMB, are something else. The board itself is pretty juvenile, and that's saying something coming from me, but just the mention of UM in any context causes an utter meltdown with all defensive mechanisms kicking in. I'm sure it's just their inferiority complex but yeah, at least right now RCMB could be the absolute worst message board in the world, absolutely.
you may also see a buyout deal reached in the next week
by "just wait two more days" the Michigan OP was actually advising Sparty about the arrival of their next 'highly touted' national 2 star recruit.
I figured he was talking about the end of the world.
those boy lovers
As in perhaps the OSU Rapture?
Oddly enough, it's been drizzling and overcast all day.
Sauron's rule will come to an end soon enough and all that he built will come crashing down.
you took it too far.
Hmmm then maybe I maybe shouldn't name the assistant coaches as Nazgul?
But I wouldn't mind refering to all the OSU fans as Orcs.
signed in just because osu fans as orcs made me laugh

Popcorn gif anyone?
but not too bad either
I don't eat popcorn
But when I do, its this one!
Thank you sir, may I have another?
There have been a lot of suspicious indicators lately. To me, the biggest one has been Herbstreit's behavior. I think that he knows that some serious shit is going to see the light of day, and he's not going to be able to avoid saying some bad things about Tressel. Selling his house and moving out of Columbus to avoid the ire of angry Buckeye fans suggests that he expects that news is going to be bad, and he's going to have to give his honest opinion of it. To me, this is like the great big selloff that precedes the bad news for the stock market.
when I first heard Herbie was moving.
Or we could, you know, take him at his word which makes 100x more sense. "I'm moving because people around treat me like shit," vs. "I'm going to move because six months from now I might say some bad things about Tressel who everybody here will hate at that point, anyway."
hmmm...
People have been treating him like shit for a long time, it will probably be less than six months, and Tressel will absolutely, positively never be hated in Columbus. He could murder somebody and he'll always be a hero there too all but a minority of reasonable and well-informed fans who can accept the facts.
I'm not going to get into a debate over whether or not Tressel will be hated down here if even more scandal falls on his shoulders here shortly. It's irrelevant. Herbie stated why he moved, end of story. You're seriously reaching here.
I think you over estimate the love for Tressel...I know a ton of people that have jumped off the vest bandwagon and are now praying he gets fired to save face. The OSU program makes it appear as though everyone loves him, but in fact it's just Gordon Gee and Smith. I think the overwhelming majority of OSU fans will be against Tressel as this continues to unfold.
Heard yesterday in a radio interview on the local sports talk station in Nashville that SI may be breaking some "news" pertaining to tOSU. Certainly brought a smile to my face.
Also learned that Tressel will be paying for his own attorney.
Interesting, I would have expected as per most CEO contracts the school would cover his legal fees for work related charges until he was fired.
That seems like it could be a pretty big conflict of interest for a lawyer to represent a client (Tressel) and get paid by another (tsio), when there's a good chance that their respective interests are, or could be, directly opposed
That's a good point. I just assumed it was a PR move by Tressel. After OSU made that statement about how much the investigation was costing the school (I believed it was described as a "nightmare"), it makes Tressel look slightly less slimy if he takes on some of the financial burden himself.
Lawyer here. This happens all the time, particularly in the context of corporations and its personnel. The company pays the lawyer to represent the officer/executive/employee. The lawyer has an ethical duty to represent the client (=officer/employee), even though the lawyer is being paid by the company. Even if it goes south for the company and the client sells out the company.
Usually, in most executive contracts, the company pays the lawyer until the employee is convicted of a crime, at which point, the employee has to reimburse the company (which, as you can imagine, rarely happens). But even if not in a contract, the company might offer it -- because lawyering up the employee usually inures to the benefit of the company too.
So it all depends on Tressel's contract. He might not have a right to free legal fees paid by tSIO. Sounds like he doesn't have that right, if he's paying his own way. OR, tSIO was going to hire a cheaper lawyer, and Tressel said nah, I'll pay my own way and get the big boy.
BOOM! Lawyered.
I've been looking forward to an opporutunity to say that for a while.
Happens all the time. You even see this tension in lots of insurance coverage cases, where the party paying for defense costs and indemnification, up to limits, is not the party whose name is on the caption. And there may be some over-limits or non-covered personal exposure.
Moreover, we don't know if Lightfoot might be paid, not by The Ohio State Universtiy, but rather by a "Tressel Non-Profit Corporation/Foundation," and coach is not exactly raiding his 401(k) account to write the check.
I was quite surprised that OSU didn't hire Lightfoot immediately. I would not be surprised, if Tressel had called Rich Rodriguez, and asked Rich about his attorney (Scott Tompsett of Kansas City) and Michigan's attorneys (Gene Marsh and Bill King of Lightfoot).
Anyway, there is not one thing that is questionable, unethical, unsual or unexpected about Tressel hiring Gene Marsh.
All of this is just rumor that I've picked up off of other message boards:
A national media outlet (now said to be Sports Illustrated) is going to come out with a new story about NCAA Violations involving Tressel and Ohio State.
Claims are that there were paid vacations to players, recruits and their families, Illegal housing (as stated above) and cars to recruits, and other recruiting violations (I'm assuming that means $$$).
There was also Bernie Smilovitz on Channel 4 Detroit last night: Saying there were rumors in Columbus that Ohio State has been negotiating a buyout with Tressel.
Caution, these are all just rumors for now.
When the rumors are this F-ing amazing.
Hahaha this made me starting laughing out loud at work. Luckily no one has paid any attention yet.
It would be more convincing if it were Chuck Gadica that said it....
GWAR? lol
Always room for some GWAR references.
Gor Gor?
I never thought I'd die that way, but I've always kinda hoped.
I wonder if they will have someone from the band dot the "i" in "probation."
I just spit out my water. Best comment winner!
I'd be surprised if they could spell that.
O_O
If there is truth even to some of it, this will be HUGE. OSU could get a serious death-like penalty.
Got TRich, MSU fans are pissed, and tOSU keeps screwing themselves over.
Pretty awesome day indeed.
Mens lax returns to the semis and M hockey gains the commitment of Zach Hyman, scoring machine
Housing and free/discounted vacation deals, i'm hearing
ND alum that lives in Columbus....IT'S NOT DAMEFAN1 IS IT??!!
I know this person in real life, not from a message board. I just happened to speak with him by phone. If he goes by that username somewhere online, I'm not aware of it.
Is this your friend (this is damefan1)?
If not, is your friend this awesome? I can answer that for you: No.
Ahh yes! Love this guy, he makes me laugh every single time!
...the big boys.
Also, no Notre Dame fan should ever be allowed to poke fun at anyone's schedule...anyone's.
"Wash up and come down for dinner!"
"Ma, I'm busy! I told you not interrupt me while I was doing my video blog! Damn it, now I've got to start all over!"
Maybe it's just me, but this strikes me as the type that would be a Rut-guhs fan.
I made it until the lasagna noodle demonstration at 5:00.
This is awesome... Does he still do these rants? I really would have loved to hear his next one after Notre Dame lost to Michigan. He just posts these on YouTube weekly during the season?
AFAIK, damefan1 is still at it, broadcasting levels of brodom toxic to ordinary animal and plant life.
your friend is a ND alum who lives in Columbus? Didn't your mother tell you not to associate with such degenerates?
His wife has a PhD from Duke.
no words...
Inconceivable!
You know, you keep using that word, but I'm not sure you know what it means.
Anybody want a peanut?
This "news" may leave OSU in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery forever.
you butchered that qoute!
"You keep using that word...I do not think it means what you think it means"
To misrepresent the princess bride around here is blasphemy.
Inconceivable.
Drool.
Hopefully, when our grandchildren (wearing 2062 Michigan Rose Bowl championship sweatshirts) talk back about the dark streak of OSU losses that have marred the last decade, they will speak of it as at least in part a product of OSU's blantantly dishonest booster culture.
I have a quick question. Wasn't Yahoo Sports suppose to be releasing another story about a major program. Did that not happen yet, or did the landslide coming out in Columbus over shadow it.
that this was a midwest school who had a good year in 2010 but wasn't OSU? Or was that the smaller one that was supposed to come after the OSU story.
I would assume by midwest they mean B1G, and the only schools to have good 2010 seasons outside of OSU are Wiscy and MSU. Either one would be fine with me.
A good portion of the Big 12 North is considered "Midwest," FWIW.
My recollection is that it's a "Top 12" program in the Midwest that otherwise has a squeaky clean reputation. So I think that OSU is out of the picture when it comes to the "10 out of 10" story.
My candidates are (in order of likelihood...)
1. Iowa
2. MSU
3. Wiscy
4. Missourah
I would agree that Iowa should be at the top of the list. Given all the drug-related problems last year, it would not be surprising to learn that some players were selling drugs to finance their "lifestyles" similar to the way some of OSU's players were selling autographs and memorabilia.
After that, I would guess Oklahoma, MSU and Oklahoma State. PSU obviously fits as well, but I would be shocked (and devastated) if it's them. I hope it's not.
Pennsylvania, and especially that which is east of Pittsburgh, is not the midwest. Penn State folk will kick you in the nuts if you say that State College is part of the midwest.
... their mascot resembles a lion.
The allegations of drug use, etc., within the Iowa program would have given every half-wit journalist a great big target to shoot at. Yahoo! Sports seems to be pretty good at the investigative stuff. I'm sure they were licking their chops at the thought of going after that story.
If I remember correctly, they said that on a scale of 1 to 10, the OSU story was an 8 and that they'd have a 10 coming out in August. I'm pretty sure the August story is not about OSU.
If it comes out that Auburn was funneling money to kids through rigged slot machines I will laugh for 3 straight days.
The only thing about that situation is the possibility of Auburn losing accreditation with Board of Regents involvement, which wouldn't be quite as funny because what do you do with the students etc.
Still pretty great overall though.
I believe there's supposed to be another big story breaking somewhere toward the end of the summer.
Wouldn't Tressel's buyout be in his contract (which should be publicly accessible)?
I don't know what it is, but it should be easily gotten information.
Wouldn't buyout be irrelevant since by breaking rules he was already in breach of contract if they decide to let him go?
It probably all depends on how OSU and Tressel decide to part ways. I'm sure OSU could (and probably ultimately will) fire him "with cause" and not have to pay his buyout.
True, however, tSIO might have to wait past the football season before it can pull the trigger. They have to wait for NCAA ruling (which I've seen predicted to be late October or later); then there is probably an appeal right. So, waiting out the process to fire Tress with cause, they will have to have Tress coach thru the season AND probably up to or past the National Signing Day, at which time Brady and everyone else will be picking at the corpse.
No, tSIO wants to buy out the guy NOW, and get on with life.
Tressel isn't disputing the NoA though. They should be able to fire him with cause for the emails alone.
Not saying that's what they want to do. He'll suddenly want to "spend more time with his family" come the end of November and resign without the buyout.
frakin double post.
On the one hand tUofOSU could wait and terminate Tressel for cause but were they to do so they also expose the school to interesting and unintended outcomes...for example:
Tressel appears on 60 minutes and details the goings on and corruption in the AD/President's office over the last decade.
Tressel takes an analyst job with ESPN and discusses, truthfully, the scope and volume of cheating regarding Maurice Clarett
Tressel takes his act on the road and does a feature with ESPN in a 30x30 type documentary where he details the relationship between tUofOSU and Terrelle Pryor's "advisor"
and the Hiroshima/Nagasaki outcome...Tressel writes a red book entitled "O -H - Lie - O My Years at Ohio State and My Life in Columbus" that details all of the above in greater detail up to and including the actions of E. Gordon Gee, the Board etc.
Even those monkeys at tUofOSU are smart enough to negotiate an agreement with Tressel to head off into the sunset with 3 to 5 million reasons to stay quiet, out of the limelight, and (outside ot NCAA investigation) say nothing about tUofOSU.
If tOSU is smart they'll demand a nondisclosure agreement to go with that bribe. tOSU isn't firing Tressel, they're buying his silence. If they wanted they could fire him today for cause and if he lawyered up over it odds are they'd crush him court with those emails. It's more of "Here's five million, never write a book about this and play dumb when the NCAA asks you questions."
He might also be demanding things like promises from tOSU not to totally disavow him and let him keep some shreds of his legacy/record.
individually negotiated. Often in an executive severance situation the terms of the contract re: cause, severance payments etc just serve as a starting point for negotiations on a severance agreement.
They can still use the terms of the contract (and fire for cause, paying him nothing), but they may negotiate a settlement to get Jim to shut up and go away so they can hire a new coach, stop the bleeding, negative PR, etc. And Jim (seeing that the end is nigh) may prefer such an agreement because it will allow him to save face (the agreement would probably include reciprocal nondisparagement clauses, among other protections for both parties) and save costs. In fact, this may be why he got his own lawyer--to negotiate with his release with OSU directly.
Or, Jim may find it preferable to fight to the bitter end to "save his reputation" (if possible). In this case OSU will probably fire him for cause at the end of the process (if found liable) and pay him nothing. This is the scenario we want because it drags out the process forever and all parties will be free to trash each other in the press, etc.
I love that avatar.
Without going into the specifics of a buyout, I'm more interested in the effects.
So if Tressel gets bought out this summer:
a) Does that assistant coach who will be doing the sideline coaching for the five games Tressel has to sit become interim head coach?
b) I know the NCAA is only looking into the lying crap right now (no other allegations that are outstanding that the NCAA has mentioned). So does said new coach have Tressel stink on him (along with all other assistants) which pretty much guarantees they have to clean house in the coaching ranks at the end of the year anyway (which should obliterate their recruiting)
http://www.5thquartersports.com/ncaa-football/ohio-st-violations/
"The new revelations will not just be about the cars or the cash, but vacations as well. Investigators are and will continue to find cash and prizes that could only be logically explained by several players winning the Price is Right Showcase Showdown over the past several years (that or some MAJOR NCAA violations have taken place)."
I know everyone realizes that we're just talking about rumors, but that article doesn't mention a single source or citation.
The mod at Rivals said in the couple days like what everyone is saying and then a national news publication is supposed to release something afterwards.
I fucking love this. My boring workdays consist of seeing our new daily recruit, listening to msu dipshit excuses & hearing just another nail in the osu coffin. This weather has been absolute shit, but things have been good!
Now to my point, a very good friend of mine has a prominent businessman for a father who happens to be located in downtown Columbus. Unique situation, this guy grew up in Ohio, entire family are osu slappies, went to college/grad school in MI, lived here and family lives here year round....Has season tix to UM & OSU, so very weird dynamic, but deep down is an Ohioan. This guy is good friend with Gordon Gee, lots of prominant osu boosters, has suite in Horseshoe where the governor sometimes sits for games (she was there for UM/osu #1 vs #2 game, I was in there hammered with bright yellow UM shirt talking junk to student section right below suite. My buddy kindly told me to cool it since the governor was sitting next to me..haha).........Anyhoo, I send my buddy the weekly osu scandal, he forwards to his Dad to taunt him. His Dad as recent as this week responded, "I'm glad the UM fans have something to cheer about, but nothing is going to happen when said and done."
This is a guy who is a big deal, has lunch with President Obama, crap like that & a lawyer by trade (ended up being an executive). He is with so many other people in Ohio that nothing is going to happen. This partly scares me because the guy has connections I could only dream of & lives right in Columbus. But also makes me think people in Ohio are just blind to the fact osu has cheated to get where they're at.
My initial reaction is (1) this situation seems so fluid that I doubt anyone at OSU can say for certain yet whether JT will survive and (2) Gee is probably the last person in OSU's administration who has a clue as to what is actually going on.
I should have been more clear. Everyone thinks that none of this stuff actually happened, literally think this is all made up & sitting back like it's business as usual.
In the coming months, being a connected booster with the ear of E. Gordon Gee at tUofOSU will be about as important as being the best curler in Equador.
Consensus reaction in Columbus:
I want the space bear to take them down.
IT'S HOCKEYBEAR DAMMIT!
If everything they are saying is true, you can bet your ass I want them to get the death penalty. They have been cheating for around 10 years....10 fucking years! This undoubtedly being one of the biggest reasons for their ridiculous winning streak against us. Do you think for a second that they would have rattled off 9 wins in the past 10 games against us if they wouldn't have been paying players and using ineligible players (which, again, is exactly what has happened if the story is true). If OSU wants to play dirty, when they get caught, they should absolutely pay the price. They obviously haven't cared about keeping this rivalry (or any football season for that matter) pure and legal so why should I care if they remain a strong program? In other words, they haven't respected college football for well over 10 years so I don't need to respect them as program.
After all that has come out, I don't see any way in Hell (read: Columbus) that they do not get knocked with this. Every piece of news that comes out is gasoline on an already raging fire.
I am afraid Mgoboard appears to have created a new monster to haunt my nightmares.
I knew that Brady Hoke could recruit, and he did an awesome job assembling a staff, but now he is just showing off with the whole using his awesome karma to smite OSU.
That's not karma, friend. That there is poop. Pure, golden, Hoke poop.
Hearing about all the happeings going on down in Columbus makes me happier than a pig in shit!
That said, it is still not good for us or the B10.. It will cause a dominoe effect of complete and utter destruction (which was 100% their fault anyway) and however many years they are down because of this will have the same if not a greater effect on the b10 as the last 3 years with us.
Kind of "duh" material, but what the hell.
I can't wait for LSUfreak's gif on this
OSU's getting popped for everything, cash, ink, cars, cribs. There's really only 2 things left and it's just a matter of time. That's right...Boats 'n Hoes!!!
You can scratch hoes off the list
http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/03/29/hbo-report-buckeyes-...
That means the boats story must be out anytime now
And unless they're putting boats on the Scioto River, doubting the boat thing.
We've already seen what happens when you give OSU student athletes a boat in that earlier post about Ejector Crabs.
How about the Olentangy River?
There are boat docks in the Olentangy River behind the Drake Union (by the two apartment high-rises next to the stadium). It would be easy to hide a "private boathouse" somewhere along the length of the river. Still, there are a lot of step dams in the Olentangy, and boats can't cross those.
a boat downtown in Columbus off Broad St. ( one of the main roads). They have the boat.
Know you know why tressel was so supportive of richrod when we were going through our investigation...he was probably thinking "shit....if they only knew"....well now they now. This shit is better then porn.
doood, then you must be watching the wrong porn.
maybe that explains the avatar.
If you saw his whole avatar you would feel dumb.
he was assessing quality followed by accompanying activities
I would exchange OSU, 'Bama, and USC-levels of dominance for a once every 10-15 years national championship (or very close) Michigan squad that's otherwise competitive outside of that national championship year. There will be complaints of hypocrisy given Michigan's 'major violations,' but that doesn't even begin to compare with the shadiness seen at other places.
The margins are too thin in college football for there to be year-in, year-out dominance. If you can win like that every year, it's probably because you're not doing it the right way.
Not to be a buzzkill, but if OSU sensed something was about to happen why would Smith restate his support of Tressel yesterday?
He has to support Tress up to the very last moment, because Tress's replacement will expect that out of his AD.
Any captain of a sinking corporate ship will do that -- talk the talk until the very last, stinking moment. Everything's under control, have no fear, we're confident of the future, got our man, he's good to go, yada yada yada. Then Tress is bought out. Only then Smith can say, well we didn't want to do it but made sense for everyone to get this past them.
If he were to go, we don't like our current head coach, looks like he might be a sleezebag .... now, tell me who takes the job to replace Tress, with THAT kind ofa guy as your boss?
The way the fans are turning on Spielman, Smith fears getting fragged by his own troops. He is probably as frustrated as anyone, but he also does not want to be blamed for Tressel's departure if that is how this plays out.
It's like Christmas all over again ! Thank you Osu for being dumb!
It is interesting that housing is being cited as a potential violation at Ohio State. Last summer I read a post on another college's message board. It's behind a paywall so I can't link to it. The school is not a rival of Ohio State and I have no reason to suspect that the author of post was being anything besides honest. I did some light digging and was unable to confirm the identity of the player and then got busy with other stuff and forgot about it.
The accusation was that the coaches at Ohio State strongly suggested that an incoming player live in a certain apartment complex. The player was shocked at how cheap the cost of living was in Ohio and only later found out the complex was owned by a former player and he was receiving a steep discount.
The player was said to be from the state of Texas, a transfer from another college and a defensive starter. I couldn't find anyone recently who matched this description, but I really didn't go much beyond scanning rosters from the last few years.
It will be interesting to see if something in the latest round of accusations matches this sort of scenario.
Anthony Schlegel fits the description. From Texas, transferred from Air Force, started at LB.
Interesting. Schlegel fits the description, including the parts I left out. I think I missed him before because he was born in Iowa.
It's still a dead end though because I have no idea how one would go about finding out where he lived in college.
I heard Tresselis going to resign and... Urban Meyer has been caught looking for houses in Columbus. Not joking, could be rumors though...
At the same time Les Miles' wife is looking in Ann Arbor
Seems to get repeated over and over and thus has made its own validity by mere repetition, but like Roswell, it's just asking us to believe the impossible. Guy retired less than a year ago for HEART HEALTH reasons. Stress is going to kill him.
So, he'd LEAP at tSIO's job, which brings more stress than UF? And a program that's going to be on probation, with loss of scholies? Yeah, no stress there.
Plus, his daughter completely refuted it. That's not dispositive, but counts for something, doesn't it? At least enough to offset the "looking for houses" thing.
Finally -- guy lived in OH, didn't he grow up there? He has millions. No surprise he might have one house in OH, another in Florida, etc.
tSIO is going to be a shell of itself after the sanctions hit. Recruits bailing this year (AHEM, Mr. 5* RB in OH, lqqking @ u), loss of scholies, bowl ban maybe. No big-name coach wants to inheret that disaster.
Although, Kiffie-kins might be available...?
The Roswell UFO incident was not aliens. According to a new book out(by a credible author) it was a remote controlled Soviet spy plane filled with alien like children genetically engineered by none other than Josef Mengele himself. I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried.

Why would UM want to go to a tainted program that is crippled for recruiting by massive scandals?
WITH YOUR FEET IN THE AIR AND YOUR HEAD ON THE GROUND
Here's a good one. Hardly anything, especially if things are prepared-for and scripted. Or, like baseball, in the tunnel or out of sight.
"Smith has confirmed that the five-game suspension actually amounts to only a 15-hour suspension — the time during which the Buckeyes are playing games."
Link to today's events on my blog: http://peterpfeiffer.co.cc/columns/?p=775
Just can't imagine how/why OSU would be financing vacations for players. Seems a stretch, even for them. The only viable scenario would involve boosters, right?
right. i think most of this stuff is booster related (ie cars). A university wouldn't knowingly do these things, but boosters are very difficult to control.
But is it anything new or just coverage of the fact that there have been a lot of scandals this offseason...
One thing is for sure - THAT kind of press is not going to do them any favors in recruiting.
I don't subscribe so I don't know, but I gotta imagine it's the latter. I doubt there's any new information, unless they're the ones breaking the story referred to in this thread. And in that case, we'd have already seen 2 weeks worth of ads on ESPN to watch their NEW OUTSIDE THE LINES SPECIAL REPORT MAY 21ST IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING THE RAPTURE.
Just ouch.
This is getting out of control. At what point does the death penalty become a possible sanction? Has that point been reached yet?
SMU got the death penalty for having a university sanctioned payroll that they didn't discontinue after being severely sanctioned for having a university sanctioned payroll. Nothing OSU is officially accused of (even counting these rumors) even remotely approaches that. It sounds closer to the sanctions that blasted Alabama a while back.
Just wait till it comes out that Troy Smith threw the National Championship Game and that Tressel knew about it after the fact.
That one is juicy. Hehe. Probably too juicy but man would it be awesome.
We've been getting about one of these posts each week. Someone knows a bigshot in Columbus who heard something about more going on at OSU. They can't all be BS at this point, right?
If there actually are housing, vacations, etc extra benefits being given out by OSU boosters, this is program destroying type stuff. USC is going to be trashed in a couple of years simply because they won't have the numbers (aside: who are they going to cut going into the season?) to compete and that was about one player. This is about a lot of players and the coach. Things may be really, really bad there in a couple years once the smoke clears.
Before there is any definite new allegation, before there is a source backing up any new allegation, you guys are deciding on The Death Penalty.
Have any of you considered burning at the stake, dunking, or the stocks?
But I'm not thinking of Ohio State.
I didnt know they still sold soap in boxes yet you keep finding them for quick usage. Do you work at a recycling facility or something?
that everything is awesome right now. cant confirm yet, check back in two days
Does anyone remember exactly what Alabama did and what their penalty was? USC got dinged for Reggie Bush's family getting housing, and the penalty was a loss in scholarships and a ban on postseason play. I am trying to figure out where OSU ranks in the hierarchy of skulduggery . . .
SMU all over again
please resign and appease the gods - I can't even get outside to carve my annual Block M in my backyard lawn.
Typical precip days this time of year 42% or so, but we've had:
Columbus also had lowest high temperature on record on May 16 and 17 (not quite hell freezing over, but...)
Your parents didn't hug you enough as a child, did they?
Great use of Paint!
