More jersey intrigue...
Since the Fre*p leaked the "throwback jersey prototypes" I have been of the opinion that the stripey things could not possibly be the real thing, bolstered mostly by the NCAA bylaw that required jersey numbers be 8-10 inches etc. on both the front and back of the jersey. The recently released images would also not fit under this law.
So...my hope that we wouldn't be wearing what we saw today may yet prove true. For those of you who are fans of Michigan football on facebook, this:

may offer some hope. Also the phrasing "this may be Denard Robinson's "under the lights" jersey" could be a sign that DB is just screwing with us.
Also, for any other uniform enthusiasts out there, recall that the M-Den's track record for uniforms is less than stellar, if you remember the hockey uniform designs they had for sale for a few weeks (basically our maize alternate design in blue and in white) which everyone talked about before they went away and the jerseys didn't change at all.
Cant we just wait until tomorrow night?
that looks like the small front numbers that wouldn't have the stitching through them.
I'm pretty sure the bylaw shouldn't be a problem. The team can make a petition to the NCAA to allow the jerseys for one game, and the NCAA would more be than likely to accept Michigan and ND's proposal for this game.
If they want to actually do it is another question. Hopefully the stitching on the numbers is gone.. and the stripes... I'd personally be ok with helmet numbers, though.
What's a bylaw?
It's a law that swings both ways. Sometimes it screws the plaintiff...sometimes the defendant.
How many different threads on this shit do we need?
I'll start searching for the perfect picture for your post!
Honestly, it's just a shirt. And it's gonna be worn for one game.
Yeah but remember the 2009 Notre Dame-Michigan game. I swear I've seen those highlights a million times with Michael Floyd and Golden Tate torching Boubacar, and of course Mr. Forcier. I don't want to be seeing highlights with these hideous jerseys forever.
Well how about this jersey?

That one actually looks awesome. I would totally buy it. Though there's no way it qualifies even remotely as a "throwback".
Awesome. I'd buy one.
When I walk around the mall with a Michigan jeresy on, nine times out of ten I'm not wearing a helmet.
Problem is, there is nothing on a Michigan jersey that says Michigan or even a block M. So if we have a big win and I want to strut around and show how cool I am because I'm wearing a Michigan jersey, most people don't know it.
This jersey solves that problem, with bad-ass style.
It's a fake; fan made.
that would be freaking sweet. I mean damn! It's a bit too awesome for me, but I could get used to it in a hurry.
I like how someone took the time to edit that pic, but didn't change the Nike gloves to Adidas. True throwback if you ask me.
Cleats are Nike also
This is why we need Nike to be our sponsor
The "leak jersey" is Brandon messing with us and we will be in for a suprise of some glorious jersey!
Between the MDen Leak, the Freep leak, and the Facebook post, there's not much to be "unveiled". I'm still hoping this is all misdirection.
we can get at least 6 more threads on this started before tommorrow night. :o)
I can only hope that DB is a giant asshole and just fuckin with everyone.
Hoping DB is a giant asshole?
Really?
God no, God no, God no
The look needs a Clown nose and big floppy feet.
50-50 chance we'll get that.
As we all know, these throwback jerseys are motivated by one thing - Adidas' desire to have another Michigan item to sell. It has nothing to do with "throwbacks" or tradition - just dollars and cents.

We are stuck with them for this year, but if we want to discourage abominations like this in the future, then we need to make this economically unappealing to Adidas and DB.

So do not but these jerseys. And tell your friends and family (and especially your teenage kids) not to buy them.
I thought this thread was going to be about Jesery Shore. Crap.
Someone needs to 'shop Snooki in the Michigan throwback.
It's not like it will look ridiculous or anything.
