Tommy Doman wants to go to dental school.  If he stays and waits his turn, his Michigan degree will give him a "leg up" in being admitted to the Michigan Dental School.  If Doman is on the team for five years, his scholarship will also pay for his Dental School tuition while he is on the team.

I’m wondering how much NIL plays into this. Maybe there’s a more stable floor of earnings at a university like Michigan where a good amount of fans are willing to buy their merch and pay for autographs as opposed to the NFL where not only are the job openings fewer and far between, but one bad game can mean the end of your whole career

Surprised a bit since he had such a great 2021, but not surprised because coaches abuse kickers in the NFL and one bad day can end your career.

Love to have him back for one more go-around!

Our kicker and punter can compete to win games vs the Alabama's and Georgia's. This is good news. Keep accumulating talent to compete with the elite.

When you look at how some teams, absolutely lost games from bad kicking;

  • Nebraska had a 28 yard punt to their 30 and a 7 yards punt against MSU.
  • Nebraska and Northwestern also kicked 50% of their field goals so went for it when most teams took 3.

So in tight close games good kicking can certainly make the difference.

Special teams look to be great next year.

Great news!
