Michigan vs Indiana Bball

Well I haven't seen one posted, so here it is. Michigan up 25-13 with 8:20 left in the first half.

To get there IMO they're going to need to beat Iowa & MSU and at least one of the three tough games remaining: Illinois, Wisconsin & Minnesota.  That'll put them at 19-12 going into the tourney.  Win one and then out and they're 20-13 and a definite maybe. Win two and then I think we're in.

Of course I'm assuming we dont throw this one away......

Why do the last two games make me think our practice sets for the end of games is to throw our arms into the air and run around wildly screaming at the top of their lungs?  It's unreal how good we can play in one stretch only to be followed by periods of unbelievable futility and what looks suspiciously like panic.

We definitely go out of our way to let teams back into games they have NO business being in.

This team has no shot at making the tournament.. Next year maybe, but still so young and inexperienced.. no way in hell Indiana should be within one posession in this game. We were up by 22..

That was not a good win at all... Indiana finished the game on something like a 25-5 run... that is completely unacceptable.  Its not like we had our B-squad out there either. It was our complete lack of discipline on D and utter inability to hit a free throw that doomed us. Part of me wishes we didnt win because frankly, we really didnt deserve the W.  I know this team is young but this was a disaster and I am fuming at how weve been playing at the end of games during the past two weeks.

Usually, I don't call it a "disaster" when we win games, but maybe I'm in the minority.  We don't usually shoot FTs like that, so it's not something to get too worked up about..  They have to do better on D late, but you take a win and move on.

None of me wishes we didn't win, because I'm not a moron.

While I agree with everything you said and I don't think we "deserved to lose," the fact that we stopped playing our style in the last five minutes is a big indictment on Beilein, even with the ridiculous lack of focus our players had at the stripe. How the hell do we not get ONE field goal against their full-court press?

I've seen Beilein stop running his offense early before to protect leads. It doesn't end up pretty.

A lot to clean up on the press break. You can bet when it is worked on in practice, the coaches will have their full attention. Good win and too many valuable learning experiences to count in that last 10 minutes.

3-2 from here gets them to .500 and into the tournament IMO.  With Wisconsin, Michigan State at home and 3 road games they will definitely have to earn it.
