25 weeks 3 days ago	They call it hardwood	They call it hardwood hockey.  I watched them play Drake University (D1 in basketball) in Des Moines a number of years ago.  They rotate 5 guys every whistle.  They full court press the entire game, if they can't force a turnover in the press, they concede a layup and go.  The coach's goal is a shot every 10 seconds.  They are the epitome of chuckers.  It is crazy to watch.

37 weeks 3 days ago	I can see Northern Illinois	I can see Northern Illinois beating Iowa but I don't know that it constitutes an upset.  NIU is getting top 25 votes while Iowa is not.  Still, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Hawkeyes lose Saturday.  I do not think Vandy will beat South Carolina.  I'm taking SC with the points.

43 weeks 6 days ago	Agreed.  I think Costas is	Agreed.  I think Costas is one of the smartest people in sports broadcasting.  His opinions are always well reasoned and informative.  I was surprised for him to argue this point of view but I disagree entirely.  The legal system is where these matters are hashed out and I see no reason the NCAA should be involved in what was at its heart a legal matter.  Plus, to do so would be punishing people with no involvement in the crime or its cover up.  All parties involved in either have been dismissed from the university or now sit in prison.  Hammering PSU just hurts the players, students, fans.  I don't think they should have to pay a penalty.
50 weeks 3 days ago	If this is true it will be a	If this is true it will be a sad day for hockey.  Nicky Lidstrom is the greatest defenseman of all time and a class act.  I'm betting the Wings go after Suter or Weber from Nashville to fill the void.  You can't replace a guy like Lidstrom.  Next year will be weird not having him on the ice at the Joe.
