Is he part of the MCU? NIL deals could be Super!
Feel old time: Marvel Allen was 4 YO when the first MCU movie was released

This would be a huge get. Five star 6'4 pg. 🤞🏼

Clicked on 24/7 link. Saw height. I'm sold.

He's 6'9" with his hair.

Can he shoot?
He's a 5-star, how could he not shoot?
Oh, wait...
Don't know, ask Caleb Houstan.
I guess I have never understood this, but how can someone be a major college scholarship basketball player and not be able to shoot?

If his team votes him captain, is he.. Captain Marvel?
March 27th, 2022 at 12:27 PM ^
Most definitely đź‘Ť
March 27th, 2022 at 12:49 PM ^
Indubitably.
I so badly wanted to insert a video clip of Captain Marvel/Brie Larson saying "hey Peter Parker, you got something for me?" but they meme'd it to death....

Definitely more of a SG. Team still needs that taller pg that is actually able to take his guy off the dribble and not be undersized so much when finishing like Frankie.

I prefer DC Allen
March 27th, 2022 at 11:34 AM ^
I would imagine DC Allen is faster.
March 27th, 2022 at 12:24 PM ^
DC Allen might be faster but that hasn’t consistently translated to film the way Marvel Allen has.
Fred Jackson says he’s like DC Allen, but faster

Regardless if he's a pure PG or combo guard I just want playmakers with some height. Bring him on home!

"Marvelous" Marvel Allen belongs at Michigan

The Glenn and and Allen show has a nice ring to it.

Traore & Allen can geaux blue together.

Marvel Allen or Elmarko Jackson would be fine with me. Jackson can actually pass the ball. They can both come.
Maximum Effort.
I'd prefer Peter Parker but this kid seems good too.
Would love if we were part of Marvel’s universe.
Allen definitely would be a huge get.
But it looks like we're off to a slow start for 2023 recruiting so far. According to 24/7, we're listed in the top 5 schools for just one player in the top 150, #40 Curtis Williams (4* SF, Bloomfield Hills). In contrast, MSU already has the #27 and #42 players locked up and is in the top 5 for several more (including Williams). Purdue has two top 100 players locked up. OSU has one top 50 player locked up. Indiana has one top 100 player locked up. Duke has 4 players in the top 28 all locked up and is in the top 5 for many more.
Why are we behind all these other programs? Why are we not getting more interest from top players? I can understand not having a top player committed this early or keeping up with Duke but our rivals seem to be ahead in both commitments and in interest from the top players. Is this just an anomaly? Are the top 5 lists accurate? Are we in the running for other top players?
It’s early, and asking why we are behind Duke in basketball recruiting is like asking why we aren’t out recruiting Bama in football
If you read my comment, you would know that wasn't my question. I was asking why we appear to be behind rivals in both interest and commitments. I would have guessed that we would be in the top 5 for more than one top 150 player. I gave the info on Duke for added context.
Maizen playing the long con...
Per MattEM's earlier comments, Michigan has barely tried in 2023 to this point. They have been waiting out this crop of NBA decisions and the transfer portal cycle to determine how many scholarships and at what positions.
Thanks for the info. That makes sense. I'm still concerned that we might be running from behind and playing catchup. Then again, this coaching staff has shown an ability to reel in top recruits late in the cycle. I would be nice to see some top 2023 targets start warming up to Michigan. I guess we'll have to be patient.
Panic!
That's what I suspected. Our roster is so uncertain at this point with possible NBA departures, it's hard to project 2023
I get this to an extent but the way basketball recruiting goes, you can’t sit back and wait forever for these kids. You have to at least identify your major needs a couple years in advance. For example, you’ll always need an elite pg and an elite big man. Get an elite kid that can play the 2/3 and there you go for constant recruiting needs. At this point in the cycle, you want to at least be on their top ten lists.
#18 on the 247 composite rankings - yes please.
Can’t wait for 2024 pg commit Christian Anderson ! Unreal range from 3
hair game is very strong
Marvel-ous!
