Why not? You have no idea what is going on behind the scenes, what stuff prompts a subtweet. That’s why it’s a subtweet.

There’s probably a player of his that’s hurt, that got treated badly. He cares about his players, he saw what happened, he fired off a tweet about it.

It got traction with Michigan folks, and so he clears it up.

Not everything is about us.

Stop being an ass 96 - unless your goal is neg harvesting?

Yes, Michigan can offer "life changing scholarships" to HS players - but so can 10, 20, 50 other coaching staffs!

I'm glad Michigan is back in good with State Champ Belleville. Good for Michigan, good for Belleville players. Where's the downside to that you're perceiving?

And here's "GoBlue96" with his balls in an uproar about how some coach in Belleville was misconstrued at 8:41 of a Friday.

This kind of speculation about what motivates the decisions of 18-year-olds is some of the most unproductive and--too often--vicious phenomena of the internet. There aren't enough mods in the world to police it, but you'd love it if people acknowledged they're not in possession, often, of the tiniest share of the variables and find something else to do with their time? Do you really want to be seething at some high school coach here on the cusp of your day?

Forgive me; I shouldn't be here, either. But the maintenance of productive relations with local high schools is a thing. Looks like we are good here.

The whole world of recruiting is so bizarre, complex, and shady sometimes.  My eldest son is just trying to pick a college to go to and it is overwhelming - even without football coaches, handlers, NIL, agents, advisors, etc.  I wonder what's happening behind the scenes there and what prompted his previous message about "fake offers."  Could have been unrelated to Alexander, could have been in reference to a different school that was "offering" to try and get him away from Michigan....could have been anything.

Glad he took the time to send the message - he didn't have to do that.  Good luck to the young man in whatever he decides to do for college.

Honestly, I'm floored by this. Kudos to both staffs for not only burying the hatchet but completely changing the trajectory of the relationship, because there is a 0% chance Crowell comes out and dispels those rumors if this happened a year ago.

Hope that AA catches on somewhere and makes a name for himself. Sounds like this could be a win-win-win situation if he can make it happen.

Reading between the lines, I suspect that Aaron Alexander either had a clearly conditional offer* or realized he would have some sort of issue with admissions.

*Michigan may have told Alexander his scholarship depended on the decisions of other prospects and told him that he could commit only if he was comfortable with that uncertainty. As long as Michigan remained transparent about the status of his scholarship, I see nothing wrong with this arrangement. And both Alexander and his coach seem to agree with my assessment.

Well it sure as hell wasn’t me lol. I don’t have tiwitter, tik tak or snap talk and never understood the draw of oohing and ahhing over 17-18 yr old recruits. I raised 3 kids and know from personal experience that life is in the moment. I did the whole colllege recruiting for baseball thing and my son changed his mind more than he brushed his teeth. Coaches were also snakes, not all but some. The biggest dick we dealt with wound up being the most honest which is where he eventually pitched.

I am tired of us having to continually run this program. Can't the university hire people to do this. We could call them AD's, Coaches, or Fixers but we have important things to worry about here like the wording on Corum's shirt.
