Michigan - Iowa Game Thread
I've never done one of these before but it's about 20 minutes to kick-off and none of the usual suspects have stepped forward so I guess it's time. I'm feeling good about this game and think Michigan wins 24-14. Meanwhile, over on ESPN Sparty takes on the Cats at noon so we've got plenty of Michigan (the state of) football to watch early.

Largest gain of the day by the offense was on the interference. Ageed, lets do it again!

Borges saw that the option didn't work last series so clearly they would not be expecting it this time!!!

Needs to cut up inside sometimes. There was a hole there and he always just bounces.

Do quick slants or 5-yard outs not exist in this offense? Crappy option plays that have no chance at success are all we have in our bag of tricks?

Looks like the D will have to win this one for us, since we can rely on getting zilch from a Borges offense.

When was the last time we converted at 3rd down? It wouldve been in the Nebraska game.....mustlve been quite a play!
November 23rd, 2013 at 12:28 PM ^
We get 2nd and 1 and don't run play action? Yet, when we can't run the ball all game and are in 2nd and 11 we DO run play action...wtf?

As soon as Green came in and we went to that 2WR/2TE Ace set, I said "HB Dive over the LG" and that's what we ran.
We ran the same play to Green int OT vs. Northwestern (on the drive where we got a FG) and it was also stopped for a loss. I believe the next play was the 3rd down pass to Gallon that went off his fingertips.
Then when we go Pistol, it's ALWAYS option. Especially in short yardage situations.
Borges' play calling is a fucking JOKE.

I was talking with an OSU fan the other day that doesn't really watch a lot of Michigan games. His first comment based on his observation, was Borges is the problem.

I know it is obvious, just didn't know it was that obvious even based on limited viewing by the opponent fans.

Before or after he pooped in your cooler?
November 23rd, 2013 at 12:31 PM ^
All we had to do was take the snap and fire it out to Gallon. They gave us the 1st down.

Iowa has a less predictable offense than Michigan. How is that even possible...
