I will probably bump it later in the day to discourage too much overlap - if someone is going to do such a thread, it is probably better started once the AP and Coaches poll are out so we can just start with those and run from there. We'll let a few individual threads stand for now though and use the original one as the summary later.

would rather be #2 than #1.  Pressure going to be high enough over next few weeks without being ranked #1.

Truly believe we are one of the two best teams in the country.  Amazing the turnaround from where we were just two years ago.

And we have more wins over teams in the Top 25 than Alabama, Clemson, Washington or any other playoff contender. Just something to note regarding our supposedly soft 7-0 start.

EDIT: Oops, I thought Penn State would be in there. This should be true when/if Penn State sneaks into the AP Top 25.

What jackhole is still voting us #8?  Scott Frost, is that you?

And at least one voter has Nebraska unranked.  I mean, really.

Aaaand... Ohio State still has a #2 vote.  I'm going to assume that guy turned in his ballot sometime before 11:30pm last night.

"The Wolverines received 31second-place votes and 23 thirds. Despite one voter putting Michigan fifth and two voting them seventh, it was still barely enough to overtake the Tigers. Clemson had the weekend off but still retained its lone first-place vote and were picked no lower than fourth on any ballot."

I call ATTEMPTED shenanigans!!

The cowardice is even worse by observation that there are TWO seventh place votes. The seventh place seems ridiculously arbitrary enough to STRONGLY indicate coordination in the manipulative downvoting. Which is an additional no no.

Only one point above Clemson.  Wonder if the AP will match the coaches (assistants) poll?

Lots of people are on the Clemson bandwagon despite the fact they could easily have 2 losses, one to an unranked team.  No unranked team has come within 20 points of Michigan, and some ranked teams haven't either.

Also, there's lots of media slappy momentum for the ACC getting two teams in so that their darling Lamar Jackson can get in because, gosh, he has all those passing stats and that's what really counts.  Defense and the running game are boring, so lets just discount those.

Our SOS really took a boost up this week. Colorado (who should now be ranked this week), Wisconsin (top 10) and destroying Penn State (who obviously just beat OSU)...

And trailing Illinois in the 4th quarter and a blown fumble call that helped them beat Indiana and beating lowly Oregon because the Ducks tried two point conversions after every touchdown.

Not only are they going to get destroyed in Madison, they're going to get killed in Columbus. It's going to get VERY ugly.

No first place votes in the coaches poll. Bunch of dips. I'd bet the farm right now that at the end of the year, Michigan's best game will handle the tides best game. Bar none baby! I'm not always right but when I am, you son of a bitchin right I am! Michigan can go swing for swing with them. There is no bad ass threat on that offense to make plays on the Wolverine defense. The game would hinge on Michigan's offense.
