Career Henne: 1387 attempts/828 completions - 59.7%; 87 TDs, 37 INTs - .42 ratio INT-to TDs Career Brady: 711/443 - 62.3%; 35 TDs, 19 INTs - .54 ratio INT-to-TD Whatever shortcomings Henne had as a collegian, I don't think throwing INTs, esp. in the red zone, was among them.

And Henne will do average his first year and everyone will think he is awesome because he is just a rookie and then he will never do any better or worse and will go down as an average to good QB, unless he gets injured during a season with high expectations and loses to the Lions in his first game... then people will boo him.

I dunno about a Lions/App State comparison. App State was pretty good that year. Losing to the Lions would be more like losing to Albion or something...

Agree - I have the up utmost respect for him and think he was underrated in NCAA. This is especially based on the poise he typically showed late in the 4th quarter - e.g., MSU '07, PSU '05. He had one bad year, mostly due to a banged up receiving corps (the rest of '05). The rest of the time he was pretty dependable. Plus, his mechanics were as good as or better than most qbs. Just a beautiful qb to watch (no homo).

Wait, I'm confused by your post. You feel bad for Chad Henne? Because he hasn't caught a break? Henne is currently in his second season in the NFL, playing back-up to an aging and injury-prone yet successful veteran quarterback for a franchise with a fanbase and front office that absolutely love his potential. That team also won 11 games last season and made the playoffs. If that's not catching breaks, I want to know what the fortunate quarterbacks look like
