MGoPoll: White or Maize pants on the road
Uniforms need the Maize to stand out. All white reminds me too much of PSU and...nuff said.
The stripes are the only thing that make the whites look even remotely good.
I am fine with the all white uniform, but will always like the maize pants more.
but I'm curious to see what blue pants for the road uniform would look like.
I've changed my mind on the white - didn't like for the first quarter of the Utah game and then became a huge fan. They MUST have the maize and blue stripe though.
Every time this comes up, I can only reference the perfect away uniform:

The all-whites just looks better, hands down. But I'd be willing to bet the Maize pants make a recurring alternate appearance for away games at Happy Valley, starting this year. Gotta contrast their White-Outs. (The word "white" is beginning to look weird.)
like Harbaugh, my earliest experience w/ the team was via the Gordon Bell years. I loved the symmetry of the subtle stripe on the sleeves and pants, along with how the all white contrasted and highlighted our iconic helmets. Besides, the uniforms just looked so badass when they would take the field in an Ohio stadium. By comparison, the maize pants almost seem like an expense cutting measure allowing equipment managers to only manage 1 pair of pants per player. And I always hated the white jersey with the yellow piping that went with the maize pants-- cheezy.
I was originally hesitant about the white pants, but they've grown on me. The maize pants were OK but I was never in love with them on the road, with a white jersey. (At home, matched with the blue jersey, of course they are fantastic.)
At this point I'd stick with the whites - but I'd take either over blue. I'm not a fan of blue pants, home or away.
Blue pants with a maize top with blue numbers/white outline or all blue with maize numbers/white outline.
Why was taco not a choice?
