MgoBlog on Vacation?
This is the Christmas/Holiday season, so if the MgoBlog staff are taking time off this week, it would be much deserved.
Just wondering whether we should still be expecting all the usual preview content for the TCU and UM Bball games this week. Apologies if this was addressed somewhere already.

Probably. Maybe.

Seth, who pretty much kept the place afloat while Brian took care of himself and his family, is off on vacation for the first time in two years. He probably doesn't want to see a keyboard for a bit. My guess is that Alex and Brian will do the TCU previews given its magnitude. But that's a guess.

Goddamn, I miss THEKNOWLEDGE, if we’re reminiscing.
YES.

How ‘bout 90/10

All the KU and KSU fans around me are rooting for their BIG 12 TCU representative. They keep telling me it will be TCU in a blow out. Every time I ask how and why, they just tell me the Big 10 is a weak conference this year. Probably because OSU got whipped by Michigan and by default we must have a weak conference?
December 26th, 2022 at 3:20 PM ^
Could it also be that after Michigan and OSU, the conference is ... weak?
December 26th, 2022 at 5:09 PM ^
You need to at least include Penn State in your roster of good teams.
Sort of tired of debating relative conference strength, fortunately we'll get some answers during bowl season.

Michigan has never lost when MGoBlog didn't do a preview. Just sayin'.
December 26th, 2022 at 12:15 PM ^
I think someone said on the recruiting podcast they would have a TCU preview podcast. I assume they'll do the standard game-week FFFF & preview. But it's only Monday and most of the stuff that's on the site the first half of the week is last-week's recap, which obviously doesn't exist.

Did we get the Purdue O UFR?

it's funny i thought we did...but...no i can't find it!

I'll be doing a preview. Please visit my substack and subscribe.
December 26th, 2022 at 1:39 PM ^
You have subs? That's crazy!
December 26th, 2022 at 1:54 PM ^
Just a warning for anyone thinking of checking out his substack... he didn't say the preview was for Michigan... or football... or anything sports-related.
December 26th, 2022 at 12:33 PM ^
I'm going to write you a prescription, and I want you to follow it to the letter. "Take a vacation from your problems."

It's game week (CFP)! There will be more activity soon. I'll want to know about who's healing from injuries, ie Mike Morris and Donovan's hand.
MoGoBlog perhaps on WTKA on Thursday is a good bet.

There isn't a Roundtable this week; Sam said it on last week's show.
December 26th, 2022 at 12:49 PM ^
I don’t know about them but I’ll be back in office on 1/3.
December 26th, 2022 at 1:00 PM ^
I would imagine there is no way in hell they are missing content the week of a playoff game so most likely it is already written and will appear here as normal despite Seth being on an incredibly well deserved vacation this week.
December 26th, 2022 at 1:04 PM ^
You've had an count here for 11 years. You should know this by now.
December 26th, 2022 at 1:44 PM ^
Not exactly a lot of playoff games in that time.
December 26th, 2022 at 9:14 PM ^
Every year in Harbaugh's tenure we have played a New Year's Eve or New Year's Day bowl game. What is your excuse now?
December 26th, 2022 at 1:07 PM ^
The only things I'm waiting for are the injury report and the mosh rush breakdowns.
December 26th, 2022 at 2:58 PM ^
Rich in subtlety and yet rich in substance.
December 26th, 2022 at 1:10 PM ^
I'm sure we will have previews but it's early for them. Basketball previews normally are published the day of the game, so the one for the CMU game should be out on Thursday.
Football previews come out the day before, so the TCU one should be out Friday.
Whether there will be a Fee Fi Fo Film article . . . I don't know.

Did I miss the Offensive UFR vs Purdue, or was that never posted?
December 26th, 2022 at 1:46 PM ^
How dare they!
December 26th, 2022 at 1:50 PM ^
Patience, grasshopper. I would **hope** the staff is taking some well-deserved time off.
In the meantime, here.
December 26th, 2022 at 1:56 PM ^
Which game was that first gif from? I feel like watching some highlights on youtube.
December 26th, 2022 at 3:03 PM ^
It looks like the 2000 game, the previous time Michigan beat OSU at the shoe.
December 26th, 2022 at 3:05 PM ^
2012, where we held OSU to two field goals in the second half, which is nice, but eclipsed by the fact that we didn't even cross their 50-yd line in the second half. Afterwards OSU said they knew it was a run if Denard was in, and it was a pass if he wasn't. Also, you can see that the QB being sacked is #5 Braxton Miller, and they have the red end zones instead of the natural grass with grey letters, which debuted mid-aughts(?) and sadly retired undefeated against us
Another Al Borges classic where he told you where the play was gonna go, dared the opponent to stop it, whereupon they immediately said "uh, yeah sure."
December 26th, 2022 at 2:40 PM ^
Christmas is already over and there’s no new content.
Are there no MGoBlog workhouses?
December 26th, 2022 at 2:55 PM ^
Haha, in all seriousness, was not expecting anything today, just curious about the week.
And to answer other posters, the combination of a huge football game with actual meaning vs MGoBlogs usual (again well-deserved) vacation is why I asked. Just wanted to know how often I should be checking my phone while I'm entertaining the in-laws this week.

Man, I assumed there was an articleshop where the writers are expected to produce their articles.
You know, like a sweatshop where they produce sweatpants.

Did you just watch Glass Onion??!??
December 26th, 2022 at 3:15 PM ^
it was awesome!
December 26th, 2022 at 3:42 PM ^
Yeah, we just watched it last night on my brother’s mention and it was a lot of fun! Granted, I had to spend a lot of movie looking at Janelle Monae, but somehow I found a way to power through that onerous burden.
