MgoBlog on Vacation?

Submitted by BursleysFinest on December 26th, 2022 at 11:57 AM

This is the Christmas/Holiday season, so if the MgoBlog staff are taking time off this week, it would be much deserved.

Just wondering whether we should still be expecting all the usual preview content for the TCU and UM Bball games this week. Apologies if this was addressed somewhere already.

Seth, who pretty much kept the place afloat while Brian took care of himself and his family, is off on vacation for the first time in two years.  He probably doesn't want to see a keyboard for a bit.  My guess is that Alex and Brian will do the TCU previews given its magnitude.  But that's a guess.

All the KU and KSU fans around me are rooting for their BIG 12 TCU representative. They keep telling me it will be TCU in a blow out. Every time I ask how and why, they just tell me the Big 10 is a weak conference this year. Probably because OSU got whipped by Michigan and by default we must have a weak conference?

I think someone said on the recruiting podcast they would have a TCU preview podcast.  I assume they'll do the standard game-week FFFF & preview.  But it's only Monday and most of the stuff that's on the site the first half of the week is last-week's recap, which obviously doesn't exist.

It's game week (CFP)! There will be more activity soon. I'll want to know about who's healing from injuries, ie Mike Morris and Donovan's hand.

MoGoBlog perhaps on WTKA on Thursday is a good bet.

I would imagine there is no way in hell they are missing content the week of a playoff game so most likely it is already written and will appear here as normal despite Seth being on an incredibly well deserved vacation this week.

I'm sure we will have previews but it's early for them. Basketball previews normally are published the day of the game, so the one for the CMU game should be out on Thursday.

Football previews come out the day before, so the TCU one should be out Friday.

Whether there will be a Fee Fi Fo Film article . . . I don't know.

2012, where we held OSU to two field goals in the second half, which is nice, but eclipsed by the fact that we didn't even cross their 50-yd line in the second half. Afterwards OSU said they knew it was a run if Denard was in, and it was a pass if he wasn't.  Also, you can see that the QB being sacked is #5 Braxton Miller, and they have the red end zones instead of the natural grass with grey letters, which debuted mid-aughts(?) and sadly retired undefeated against us

Another Al Borges classic where he told you where the play was gonna go, dared the opponent to stop it, whereupon they immediately said "uh, yeah sure."

Haha, in all seriousness, was not expecting anything today, just curious about the week.

And to answer other posters, the combination of a huge football game with actual meaning vs MGoBlogs usual (again well-deserved) vacation is why I asked. Just wanted to know how often I should be checking my phone while I'm entertaining the in-laws this week.
