META: How many times per day do you visit the site?

Submitted by DISCUSS Man on

I'd say about 10 times for me on the actual computer. A lot of it coming at work going incognito on chrome.

depending on work load.  it's usually open in one of my chrome tabs and i pop through to see if any new threads have been posted on my way to doing other things.  definitely check first thing each morning.  when the coaching change was happening i was glued to the site. let's just say that when things are less active i get a lot more done.  i'm a fifth generation M grad and have been following michigan football since i was 3 years old and have vivid memories of seeing Anthony Carter play.

10 sounds about right, but that number probably fluctuates depending on whether I'm actually responding to posts and stuff. Then again I'm new so maybe that number will decrease once the new-ness feeling wears off. Also OP: You do know that some companies have more sophisticated ways of checking what you're up to on the Internet right? My boss at my old job showed me the software he used once, if he clicked my name or any other employee's name that he supervised, it literally shows him an image of what I had up on my screen at the time. You may know what you're doing and have it figured out, in which case never mind. Just thought I'd share.

Fourteen... I visit this site exactly 14 times in each non game day 24 hour period. Game Days.. I literally do not visit this site... Not once...

This post went from sarcastic on the 14, immediately to serious.. My bad, I need to quit drinking and go to bed.

On average 2-3 times/day... but usually on it for a while.  Have my morning cup of coffee with it... (Conference Realigment Report then ESPN then MgoBlog),  then have my wind down after work up-date.  Then usually one more quick check before/after I run out the door for my workout.  If there is something important going on... up to 7-8 time per day.. Brandon, Harbaugh, Recruiting etc.  Sometimes it's bad enough I've missed my opportunity to get in my workouts.... It's actually a joke a work.

I visit in chunks:  First thing in the morning, then usually soemtime around lunch, and then late at night (like now) when all the other stuff is out of the way.

I leave the icon up on the computer, so I will check in on it periodically to see if there is some big breaking Michigan news.  I have to say, it was a very newsy year.

Depending how busy my work day is. Often times it's just a quick F5 to see if any breaking news, or quickly check it on my phone while at lunch, etc. During the coaching search, I refreshed the page constantly!

It really depends on my day. There's been times where I've been so busy I don't check at all. Then there's the slow days when I'll never stop checking. Right now I'm at the latter

lure days, I was on every half hour, looking for any kind of news!  Most days may be 3 to 4. During Football season, ahead of NSD, spring practice I'll probably check in when ever I can! Many times by smart phone!

I've backed it down to 10-15 per day, but when the coaching search was happening........maybe 40! My wife was trying to get me in a 12 step program. Thankfully I was able to control it myself.

9-12 times a day. About once an hour at work (8), then a few times at  home after the kids go to bed... Typing that makes it feel worse. I think I have a problem.

When I saw this post first thing after I woke up, I thought "oh, probably 10." The fact that this is my third time checking in an hour probably means I'm more addicted than I'd like to admit. Maybe my wife is right??

When I first wake up, I turn the alarm off my phone and open the app.

When I get to work, I drink a cup of coffee and browse the threads.

Once before lunch, and once after.

Everytime I pooh

Before I fall asleep

During working hours, I do a fast check at least 25 times for new content.

At home I will check from 1 to 1000 times depending on whether something big is going on or not.

During signing day frenzy and Harbaugh frenzy, I was essentially on 18 hours every day.

I average once every couple days. Which is too bad. This is really a great site, however by the time I am able to comment on most things, the discussion has usually moved one, hence my lack of points.

But the recruiting info here is outstanding, the articles are informative (I saw Brian's recap of his Brandon article, there was no need for him to explain himself in any way, that article was masterful) and the board while a bit snarky does a good job of policing itself.

Not to get too cheesy, but the quality of this site speaks to the quality of the fanbase. Compared to some other fan boards, we have about as articulate and well informed a base of fanatics as possible.

20, at least. Glad I'm not the only MGoJunkie. A mgoblog anonymous should be created for those with no control.
