Fearless leader, I beseech you. Please claim your rightful spot atop the throne of MGoBlog and bless us with the UFR for which we have been denied so many times before! You have earned it! Fuck Lucy and her football! I still can’t believe it finally happened! GO BLUE!!!!!

I agree - Brian should make a cameo appearance this time... been waiting a long time to do it (as we all have waited).  Seth's been doing just fine (only knock I would suggest is that he bleeds his personal politics into his articles here too much - but the technical content is superior quality).

Maybe give Seth a crack at the game column if Brian does UFR?

Gonna disagree here. There is a degree of subjectivity in UFR. There will be pretty notable differences in scoring between two people and I think even Seth commented on it once or twice. For comparisons sake and uniformity it should be done by Seth since he's done them all this year. Brian can still give his special type of prose and 1,000 foot view on Monday.

I was going to post this too, but honestly, Brian didn’t love Michigan at its worst against OSU (never did the UFRs), so he doesn’t deserve them at their best.

Don’t ruin the run Seth is on!

GO BLUE!

This might have been an attempt at humor and, if I missed it, I apologize. But I don’t think Brian “didn’t love Michigan at its worst.” Have you been reading this blog? He loves it so much it broke him. Just like it broke a lot of other people on this message board. Hell, I’ve been a worse human sometimes because I take these sports too seriously. Which reflects poorly on me but I’m willing to bet a lot of people here could stand to look in the mirror a bit too.

Have you seen how people treat each other here? And we’re supposedly a group of people with a common interest. This place is downright vicious and brutal at times. When we’re allegedly on (or on board with) the same team.

So no, this has nothing to do with Brian not loving Michigan at its worst. Whether he takes on the UFR or not, he has decided to keep this space alive for all of us and allowed us all to watch him go through the wood chipper for our entertainment. Celebrate the win or don’t. Be mad that they didn’t win in 2019 or don’t. Be miserable that they might not win again next year or don’t. The choice is yours. But be a better human. Spare us how Brian failed you while you’re typing that on the platform he provides you.

Personally I love what Seth has been doing this past 1/2 year. He's really been carrying a lot of weight and has done so remarkably well. On the site, on every podcast. He's really blossomed this year.

The only reason I want Bryan to do the UFR is for his own sake. Let him get some healing and UFR this.

It’s enough that Brian has kept the blog going while sorting out a lot of personal issues, but now you want to tell him how to handle personnel assessments?  I am just grateful the entire staff for giving us this community for more love of UM sports than money.  Seth’s done a great job, he deserves the excuse to rewatch the game in excruciating detail.

No way in hell!  Seth had committed to UFR earlier in the week when the general consensus was likely loss.  And he’s been phenomenal this year for everything with Brian stepping back. I know the UFRs are lots of work but it’s a bit insulting to say anyone but Seth should do this (leaving aside the potential differences in scoring styles).  This one will be enjoyable or much more than usual obv.  Seth deserves that.  I think Brian would feel the same
